You're right about the snow. I live about four hours away from Lake Tahoe, which is a popular place for skiing as well as summer recreation. Oh, and let's not forget about the casinos. ;)

I've only been to Napa once, when my husband's friend got married. Beautiful place.
My husband and I went to Monterey recently to have dinner on the wharf. Other than that, we like to go to the aquarium out there.

One of my favorite places to go is Moro Bay and Hearst Castle. The former is a peaceful, artsy town. And the castle is something that everyone should see. The place is huge and full of amazing architecture and art.

I've been to Lake Tahoe a few times to ski. My favorite casino is the CalNeva. Lots of history, and a really interesting place.

I wish I could have gone south farther. Never saw Hearst Castle, though I wanted to.

California is a varied, interesting, and beautiful state. The weather where I lived in Redwood City was just about perfect year round. The only problem is that it's so expensive there. You can understand why -- it's so desirable.

OK, here's another photo from my area, just for your vaping 6-month anniversary.

This is Watkins Glen, another beautiful gorge with trails you can walk and view the many waterfalls along the way.

Just wow all I can muster up to say Just WOW

Here, there, everywhere!
Looks like you've got a beautiful environment too! And wide open spaces for the two in the last photo to run around in.

It sounds to me like eyebedam is going to try to get different pics because trying to PShop a Volt into the dark-haired pic wouldn't look very natural without a hand holdin' it. I'm going to be working on a pic for Uncle tomorrow.

I will do a new collage when I get those two photos:) Anyone else????

There's a place on my land that is very precious to me. It's almost spiritual in the way that it makes me feel. Just about the only way to get to it is to walk the creek for quite a distance which is not an option for me anymore. The cliffs are about 125' high in some places and are composed of suede blue slate and rusty limestone loaded with fossils. Kingfishers and bank swallows and hummingbirds are my only companions when I'm there. The creek bottom is slate washed clean of dirt, so it was a beautiful place to bathe when we camped here before we made it our permanent home. The brightness of the sun makes everything look washed out, so it dosen't nearly do "The Cliffs" justice.

It's just a short video:

Yeah - I know. I wobbled.

Nice!

Can I live there ill take the little house over there :D

Funny thing is years ago that was a house....then the people that owned the place before us put a double wide in over by it and converted it to a garage (yeah right - couldn't even fit my old cavalier in it). Then we lived in the double wide for 10 years and then built the house we live in now - what an easy move, 100 yards across the yard:)

I've never been to CalNeva before. I'll have to make a point to go the next time I make the trip.

I agree with you about California; it's everything you say it is. It's getting way too crowded here, despite the high prices and the weak job market. I'd love to either move out to the country or to move to Flagstaff, AZ. My husband and I loved it there when we took a trip through the Southwest. The weather there was very similar to the Bay Area.

Doesn't Flagstaff get snow in winter? I think it's at a pretty high altitude. Most of the Bay Area doesn't get snow. I've seen snow on the peaks of the hills just east of the ocean, but down where I lived, it was raining while it snowed higher up.

The highest point is 12,633 feet, according to Wikipedia. I spoke to a local while I was there, and she said that they get snow but that it melts down in a day most of the time. The only thing about Flagstaff that I would have to get used to is the altitude. Forgot about that.

We've had some recent winters (within the last 6 years) where the snowline brushed the hills at 2,000 feet. In 1997, we had some snow flurries in the valley, which was really cool.

what happened to same day shipping on orders placed before 2pm? I placed an order yesterday around 7am and was disappointed to not get a shipping notice in the afternoon. my order is still processing.

They were backed up from the sale and being gone for 2 days last week. I ordered Monday and mine went out yesterday. They brought in extra help. I'm sure yours will be going out today. If you have a question about it, I would call them but they should be back to normal today.

Don't be sorry - However, I just thought I would let you know that some "Guys" - be they married or not - also "KNOW" what most women carry in that first one . . . View attachment 59316

I hope you find as much "humour" in learning that information  . . .
As I did being able to tell "you" that "tid-bit" . . .

BTW - The other carry cases are nice too . . . :)

Has anyone notice that the white LED on the blue battery actually looks blue:)

Is it a new hole-less auto?

I ask because my Black hole-less with the "white" LED is almost purple tinted. And it seems to be a pattern with the new Hole-less - less powerful lights. (Not that its a problem to me, at all, and I actually prefer it really)
