A confirmation question...or 2

I saw an earlier post that the SI cartos are 100% PG is that correct? Seems I might be one of the few that can't do 100% PG. That sux.

What problems are you having that make you feel like you have a PG sensitivity? When I first quit analogs there were a number of withdrawal symptoms that I mistook as a PG allergy: Cramps in calves, pain in kidneys and sternum. A much-increased water intake and time made those all disappear. I also went through a bout of heavy crud coughing and congestion (like a bad cold) about two weeks in which was simply my body's way of clearing out impurities.

Slight swelling of the vocal cords and slightly sore (and it's not the flu or sinus drip). Ive been vaping 50/50 and this is my first all PG. I noticed that even on the 50/50 after a few hours of vaping getting the same thing. No biggy, I'll just change my ratio...

Are you drinking plenty of water? I ask that because I had the same issues when I first started and thats what it turned out to be. Who would have thought that in trying to break my addiction to cigarettes that I would finally over come my Pepsi addition :)

Good (late) morning to everyone. I think I'm now recovered from the visit yesterday with my great granddaughter, who will be two next month.

I just stepped in twice yesterday: Once to take away the knitting needles because I was afraid she'd hurt herself and once to take away my cane when she headed for the living room because I could see my lamps and knick-knacks laying in pieces.

It had been a year since I'd seen her or my granddaughter and it was great to have them here for the day. I love young'uns. They keep you on your toes but they're just so sweet. :)

Sounds like you had a great time. It always amazed me when my boys were little the stuff that the grandparents and great grandparents let them get by with. I wasn't allowed to put my feet on the sofa but they were allowed to jump off of it, and when I was told to lower my volume they would join in on the noise making :glare:
Just doesn't seem right.

Because I have other contact allergies and understand allergic reaction to a tee. I have vitiligo and a few other skin related troubles related to chemical and sunlight exposure. Yep, unlike all the Twilight wanna-be's I'm a psuedo-vampire. LOLOL! Too much strong sunlight and I get hives and symptomatic of stroke/stress. So much for fishing! I now fish at night...unless it's REAL cloudy.

They are self-adhesive vinyl tiles on lauan sub-flooring. I'm just slowly easing them up with a wide putty knife. There's no simpler way that I can imagine. I'm just physically challenged. The new tiles are going down with bucket adhesive. They'll never come up. Just about had to bathe in Goo-Gone last night - lol.
I've had good luck getting those up with a "floor scraper" -- it looks like a garden hoe, but with the blade shaft/neck straightened out. Also, I have heard (but never had occasion to try) that dry ice will make the adhesive brittle so that the tiles will just snap off the floor. Of course it couldn't be that easy. :2cool: You make an open wood frame, lay it on the flooring, and put the dry ice inside. Freeze a spot, move the frame to the next spot, while you get up the brittle spot, as it freezes the next one. Sounds intriguing, no?
Anyway, good luck--that is one unpleasant job. Don't let yourself get turned into on big ball of goo; that stuff is insidious when you start using goo gone to break it down.:p

That's a bummer. :( But night fishing sounds great! Unfortunately, my fishin' buddy grew up and discovered girls, so I haven't been in a long while.

Re: Buddy - That's a real bummer for sure. I tossed mine (ex) so now I can have fishin' buddies again. But for some reason nobody wants to go at night...hmm. Guess they don't like catfish and alligator. ROFL!

I've always heard that the reason grandparents are more lenient is because at the end of the day the parents have to take the kids home and the grandparents can just sit down and relax. I think there may be some truth in that! :)

Another thing could be that as we age we mellow. We don't sweat the small stuff as much as we used to. Different things become more important to us. Like, for instance, waking up in the morning and thinking, "Wow, another day!"

Thanks for the recommendations. The floor scraper sounds intriguing, but I need three legs to keep me reliably upright, so I think I'd better stick to sitting on my bum to do the work. Dry ice? I think I'll pass on that - LOL. Goo Gone is amazing stuff. Life without it would be one sticky situation after another. :p

Keep us posted! And maybe post "after" pics of the new floor? (Now that the trees are no longer wearing their "fancy-dress" leaves.)

My late father-in-law used to say, "Spoil 'em, then send 'em home!" He followed this up with an evil laugh. :p

I'm glad that you had a nice visit with your granddaughter and great granddaughter. :)

Your late father-in-law sounds like a nice guy.

While my granddaughter's husband is on deployment they're staying just about a hundred miles away. I should be able to see them more often for a while. Weather permitting, with winter coming.

Couldn't agree anymore with your "FIL" - it is just as Great to be just an "Uncle" (Nope - No kids of my own that I know of - YEA ! ! ! and it is much too late to know Now :) ) . . .

AND - With 4 Nephews; 4 Nieces; 6 Great-Nephews; 7 Great-Nieces, 1 GreatGreat-Nephews; 1 GreatGreat-Nieces - it is always nice to visit with them, play and share alot of "Stuff" and send them home with their parents . . . "Calm & Relaxed" (Yea - Right ;) ) and without-a-doubt "Safe" . . .

He was. :) Very kind and generous soul. I miss hearing his laughter and seeing his smile. He adored my boys.

Hopefully the winter won't be too harsh so you can make the trips. :)
