I'm sorry to hear that Rave. But at least you were able to get them off cigarettes. Smoking could only make a bad situation worse and maybe stopping will in time improve their health enough to go forward. I'm aware first hand of the problems cancer treatment causes although no where near as severe as your sisters. I'll keep them and you in my prayers as well.

Here, there, everywhere!
The last few days have been kinda hard, so I haven't been posting. I think I've told you guys/gals about my two older sisters. Deb has been in complete renal failure for awhile. Chemo and/or radiation for cancer killed her kidneys so she is on home dialysis for 11 hours a day - every day. My oldest sister Nancy (who is also blind) wanted to donate a kidney to her but couldn't because she smoked - and my sister that needed the kidney smoked as well. That made them both ineligible for transplant - both giving and receiving. Well - awhile back I introduced them to PV's. Although both had smoked for over forty years they both quit so that they could get this whole thing going. It made me feel so good that I had maybe contributed something to help them with the situation. Well, come to find out that Nancy can't donate a kidney anyhow because she has high blood pressure. I don't understand the medical reasons that this would make it so dangerous for her to donate a kidney, but apparently it would be life threatening to her. So - I'm just sad, and don't feel like talking much, but I'm still here. Be your wonderful goofy selves, and maybe I'll cheer up a bit.

Oh Rave - so sorry to hear that.

Keep your head (best you can)!

However, I just want to know, that YOU are always in my thoughts anyway . . . AND - My thoughts and Well Wishes are now with YOU and Them both . . . What's even more important, I hope everything does work out for the better - somehow . . . PLEASE - Take Care ! ! ! :)

I'm sorry to hear that, Rave. :( I hope Deb is able to find a donor soon. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

OK - so you want something to smile about..........well my little girl (9) decided she wanted to go hunting with Daddy Sunday morning, well..................he got her up at 5 and sent me a text around 6

That's why I don't hunt :p Actually, come to think of it...that's about how I look for the first hour of work, just less orange :D

Take care Rave, this one's for you:

RETIRED/BORED HUSBAND
After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target.
Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse.
Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target:

Dear Mrs. Harris,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behaviour and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:

1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway

6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.

9.. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the Store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels on his chest.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, he yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

15. Took a box of condoms to the check out clerk and asked where the fitting room was?

And last, but not least:

16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.'

One of the clerks passed out.

Ooo a vape lounge!!! Congrats SI team.
I started cleaning out my vape box of bits n pieces & said goodbye to a lot of atty's that i had lying around. ( they had seen their day, on their last legs of vapeability) it so nice to know that every vape drop of juice with the volt tastes the same from first drop to last out of the bottle. Yay volt hehe
Now off for an early night, got a medical for work tomorrow arrgh 3 hours of it for my new position. and if thats not bad enough i've 3 weeks of schooling and a 4hour verbal exam coming up next month for ABS. Will be needing it for my job - in which if i pass i will be doing the signalling for trains.
Night nite all , p.s WTG uncle, u are one lucky ducky!

You guys are the best! Laura - That pic of your daughter is adorable! And Lax - I just about fell over laughing at the Target story. I was picturing my late husband doing all of those things and it was completely plausible. One time we went shopping together, and there was a sign that said "Your money cheerfully refunded if you are not satisfied with any product" (or something like that). We went up to the Service Desk and he tried to return a non-winning lottery ticket!!

:lol: Wish I'd have thought of that one. Sounds like something worth a try.
I checked out of the grocery store with 50lbs of chicken the other day. Clerk made a comment and I told her I was in a "fowl mood." She left me alone.
