Okay, so I just received some very pretty batteries last week from Smokeless Image. I got a purple with purple LED, a red with white LED, a black with purple LED and a raspberry with a white LED. They are beautiful! The satin finish on these batteries is a wonder to behold!
Earlier today, I'm walking around vaping using a clear CE2 style cartomizer filled with about 1.5ml of juice attached to my new red battery. Life is good. That is until I somehow fumble my PV, sending it crashing hard to the ground where it impacts ceramic tile. "Nooooo!!!!," I cry. I scramble to retrieve it and kneeling on the tile, I unscrew the cartomizer. Fear fills me as I realize the whole area around the center post of my brand new beautiful red automatic battery is filled to the top with juice! My clumsiness has certainly killed it! With tears threatening to spill down my face, I take a paper towel and sop up the juice from the battery. A little alcohol on a dental brush and I try to finish the clean up. No battery can survive this. She's not even a week old! I leave her alone on the counter to dry for a moment. Her finish is unmarred from the ordeal, but surely this was too much trauma on one little battery. I screw on a prefilled 555 cartomizer and lift it to my lips, bracing myself to realize she has gone from this world. To my absolute amazement, I pull a long deep drag. The LED glows white. I exhale a thick plume of vapor. She's survived! My red sealed automatic battery withstood an ordeal that would have killed any other automatic battery I have previously owned. Thank you SI! It's been 18 hours, charged it once and used it all day and it shows no symptoms to suggest any harm was done.
