Anyone else having a problem with the little rubber caps on the cartos? Mine either get pushed in too far and i have to dig it out with tweezers or they fall off somehow and I keep losing them! Is it ok to vape without them on? I don't want to waste a carto. Will they dry out quickly?

I've never had them fall off but sometimes they get pushed in. It's easier to pull them back up with a bent paper clip. Best of all though is to use drip tips. Just be sure to get the ones that fit the 808. Drip tips for the 510 fit the 808. You can vape w/o the cap on the carto but you're more likely to get juice in your mouth.

Usually the caps stay put, but I've had a few that did like yours. If you have an old used up one, take the cap off that and put on the one you are currently using. Or maybe take one off a fresh one and put the condom cover back on, which will keep that fresh one fresh until you are ready to use it. I also keep a couple caps from ones that are about to be thrown away so I'll have spare parts if needed. You could use the carto without a cap, but I think it feel funny so don't like to do that. It also helps keep juice out of your mouth.

A question for all you ess-perts. How does one get a warmer vape? I spend more time coughing my Volt than analogs! Takes 1-3 warm up hits so I don't blow my top. Lower res? More voltage? "D" - all the above?

Fish

I see in your other posts in ecf that you are using a tank with your Volt cartos. If that's when you started getting a cooler vape, it might be that the heating coil is getting flooded. There's an optimum amount of juice on the heating coil that will give a perfect vape, too little and it's toasty bad, too much and you don't get much vapor, like something's not working right.

I saw in one of your posts that you are using the ice maker water line saddle punch to punch holes in your Volt cartos for your tank. You advised after hearing the click-punch, go another quarter turn or so. Actually, when I've used one of these to punch carto holes for tanks, I stop as soon as I hear the click-punch because in my experiments, any larger hole than that feeds too much liquid to the coil.

My suggestion is to put on a regular prefilled Volt cartomizer onto your Volt battery and see how it vapes. If that works perfectly and you still want to use a tank, play with how big the holes are that you are punching into a Volt carto and experiment until you get the same vape as with just the carto and no tank.

Also, Rave is totally correct on all counts, amount of nicotine, etc.

I agree with what Starsong said. Personally, I like using a drip tip, so far I've bought mine at goodprophets and madvapes. Like she said, the ones for 510 also fit the 808's, the Volts. I don't drip into my Volt cartos but I use drip tips because they make the vape a little cooler, the vape straight from a Volt carto is sometimes so hot it can burn the inside of my mouth, and also because I can hold it in my mouth hands-free, like right now as I'm typing. Also, Rave made some great drip tips and showed us how back a little ways in this thread and also in another ecf thread.. haven't tried it yet but sure want to.

Oh, but nah, your cartomizers won't dry out without the end cap. I've left drops of eliquid on my counter for days and it seems to never dry up, LOL!! Try it yourself, put a drop of eliquid someplace and come back a week later and see, it'll still be right there, LOL!!!
