Hmm strange indeed. Just speaking for myself, if i ever get a funny taste on a newly filled carto, i always go back and make sure the coil has been completely drenched in liquid( ie condom filled)
If the carto after the first fill/vape/burnt hit is used again/ ie condom filled then vaped again- you can be pretty sure that carto is ruined if you still get that burny taste. If you catch it quick you can save them. At the start i did this too many a time with higher vg juces, but occasionally when i am too lazy to condom fill, it sometimes still happens. Its almost like only parts of the coil are soaked and some part of it is dry.... If you vape a half dry coil...( a dry coil will ignite quicker first then a wet coil.... Haha well not ignite, vaporize) . Well it aint pretty. Sometimes the liquid looks thin (during dripping) but still can have a level depth effect of how much it saturates the filler from top to bottom.
I hope that your issue clears up soon, i know how frustrating it can be.

I don't have another PV; all Volt supplies. I filled another carto with Bounty Hunter that previously had Cinnamon Danish in it, and it's been vaping well all night. Seems to be just a fresh carto problem with BH. I don't think it's a steeping issue, it doesn't taste 'off'; it's awful. I do get a good flavor for a few puffs though, which seems strange.

Yeah, see? It just sounds like the filler isn't getting thoroughly wet enough. Try the Taryn Spin thing.

I opened a second box, same problem. At this point, as Imagine mentioned, I don't think it's a defective carto. It has to be a wicking issue or something; though I do get a good crackling sound like a fresh filled carto.

you can also try mixing it with another juice....if that solves the issue then you know for sure....

Just for the record - I've never had a single problem with Volt cartos, and never even had one die on me even after washing. They degrade in performance eventually, but don't just go belly up - EVER. It seems like its gotta be the nicquid.

Well SandySu, you've got more guts than I. It's rough to do art of other folk's pets from what I hear. They know every expression, attitude, and hair on their critter's heads and want for you to capture it all. Doing people is even worse! No thank you!!

Also - I appreciate you accepting my critique with grace and an open mind. When I was touring the wildlife art shows (usually about 25 a year), I'd have at least two or three people come up to me every weekend and want for me to critique their work (or worse, their children's). It was difficult to be encouraging sometimes and my honesty wasn't always appreciated when they wanted to quit their day jobs and do what I did.

You obviously have a lot of talent and just need to not hold back.

I'm sorry your problem hasn't been solved. I tried an experiment by filling one of my new blank cartos with some steeped Bounty Hunter. No problem. Then I tried a new bottle of BH, less than two weeks old, in a new carto. It doesn't taste good, it never does to me till it steeps longer, but it's wicking fine.

There's always the possibilty you got a bad bottle, though I've never had that happen from NLV. Bounty Hunter should be orange in color and you should be able to see through it. It doesn't have a strong smell, but to me it smells sweet and sort of cookie-like.

You could wait two or three weeks and then try it again. That's what I always do if I get a juice that doesn't taste right when I first get it.

I'm glad you're liking your volt! I've been loving mine since July.

Hi, does anyone know a good way to clean the batteries? I have a white battery that i take to work and i put it in my apron which i shouldn't have done because i have biro's in there and now it has pen marks on it. I have tried rubbing alcohol but it isn't getting it off.

Hey holly, i have this problem as well, i have'nt gone as far as trying anything yet except a bit of juice( didn'nt work but does wonders on the lino covered desk at work) been too busy lately to give it a good try. If i come up with anything i'll let you know.
