Hope someone answers with a solution. I broke out a new white battery a few days ago and noticed how dingy my old one had gotten. Tried wiping it with alcohol and a few other things but it stayed about the same. I'm still using my originals and working them hard since about August with no drop in performance so I'd like to get it back to white. I guess oil and sweat from my hands is probably the culprit. I didn'dt realize it until I saw a new one lol. Kinda looks like a smoke stained white object. Just dingy.

I'm pretty sure a bleach/water solution would remove the ink/discoloring, but not sure if it would harm the surface of a white batt. If you try this, proceed at your own risk and don't be mad at me, please, for mentioning it.

cartos are in transit now..Liquid should ship this week.

Good morning everyone! View attachment 71561

Sandy, since I can't even draw a decent stickman, I was impressed with your drawings! Good luck to you. :)

I enjoyed the recipe section. Maybe when SI gets their own nitch we could have a recipe thread and get all our health issues in order!

Imagine, when are the 30ml refill liquids due in? My neighbor ordered the starter kit (yay!) during the sale but is waiting for the higher mg in Cowboy. ty

If all else fails to clean the battery, you could either get a battery in a color that matches the marks or get one of the snazzy covers for the one that's all marked up. DM designed some neat sleeves for batteries that SI now sells.

Thanks I didn't think of that, if I can't clean it I might just get a wrap for it.

I personally don't have a white battery, so I haven't tried this: Anyone try using a Magic Eraser?

No, but they will. Thanx Rave

Sometimes lysol disinfectant spray will work, but I don't know about rubbery surrface (found out accidentally once)

If the eraser doesn't work I'll try the Lysol. Thanx Laura

I tried bleach water but it didn't work well. I was very careful using a Q-tip but I guess the fumes got into the battery. Let it dry for a day and I could still taste the bleach slightly. Same thing may happen with the Lysol but if it works I'll just have to deal with it. Then there's the skin idea....

I do keep at least one white battery and a faux filter for certain public situations where I just plain don't feel like explaining why my cigarette is black lol. At least it's not like it used to be when I took my mods and egos out and had to explain it wasn't really a drug pipe. Some of the crusaders on ECF enjoy the confrontation and flaunting but it takes up too much of my time and energy. I prefer to talk to people who notice and express an interest than freak somebody out then spend an hour telling them why vaping is so great while they are looking for the door.

I asked Imagine about this awhile back, and she said that it was just a snaffu on the website - that copper and gold are different colors, and that the one that is up now is actually copper. Hope that hasn't changed ....
This copper is sweet and lit orange behind some bling It's awesome. I'm so finding a transparent steampunk cog wrap and a wooden DT for this... You may just like both colors hun >.< (Ps e-mail sent)

Here, there, everywhere!
About the Lysol thing - years ago when all keyboards were they grey/tan color, my keyboard at work had ink marks all over it. One day after a sick person (very sick) touched my keyboard I sprayed it with Lysol and all of the ink marks just appeared to melt right off of it. Never used Windex again:D

Sometimes it will even take Sharpie off of things.

Hope everyone is having an AWESOME day!

(Can't wait to to see that lime green - like Christmas in January)

Oh and my new PCC in purple!

Post edited for brevity and to get to the specific issue:
Thanks again for the advice. Maybe I should just try a landscape to get in practice for backgrounds? I had that idea about getting better at people and am struggling right now with a portrait of my young nephew. Not going well. And yes, I have to get bolder with the shadows and highlights. I'm too timid, afraid of making it look garish, etc. I'm learning this on my nephew's face. I really have to figure out what color those shadows are, but I'm afraid of making it look like he has a beard!

Might I be so bold to suggest something . . . Since you do Animals so well . . . How about stop looking at People as the Person . . . Look at them as though they are the Animals they are . . . And possibly just the friend of the actual subject you are doing . . .

Also Remember - Usually the "Pet" & the "Person" usually look like each other anyway . . .

You know - it is like when they say to someone who is nervous before giving a speech . . . Imagine that everyone in the audience is sitting there in their underwear . . .

I don't know - But it might work ;)

I like the white batteries personally, not all the time, but sometimes I just do:) All in the mood I am in I guess!

I WANT SNOW! 32 degrees yesterday, 60 today - no wonder I am sick:(

Yeah, we are in a temperature roller-coaster too! Cold at night and warm during the day. I would like to get some winter weather though.

Yes you're right but being a noob I wanted white, now I have got over that, the white is quite boring and I did order a red and blue in the sale so I will probably just keep the white ones at home or maybe get some wraps.
