Was finally able to get the B deck from vaperev. The first build I had leaked like crazy, but this one is works perfectly. Goodbye W-Deck forever!

Is this the build that leaked like crazy? Or is this the no leaky one?
so i use japanese cotton and usually jam it in there, today im using 2.5 id instead of 3, and i stuffed it but it went in fairly easily, oh mine is less than yours in the pic and yours look fluffy, and i use contact coils
I have found that when using nickel it's difficult to stuff the coil. I mentioned that earlier in (some) thread... i must have been using too much cotton in my kanthal coils. Because what i am putting in the nickel coils just doesnt feel like anywhere near enough but works just fine.
Do you stuff your Ti coils with more cotton than your nickel builds? I found annealed nickel to be a ..... to wick. Have you bought or ordered or used tempered nickel yet?

Going to try kanthal first as I'm more comfortable with it at the moment. If all goes well I'll give it a shot with nickel.
Anybody here ever end up getting the D deck? Thinking about it, I get soooo much flavor and vapor with the W deck; can you imagine running duels in this tank. I think it would be amazing and expensive as it already sucks up so much juice.
Let me answer this in sections.
Do I stuff Ti with more cotton than annealed nickel? No I don't think I do. I do stuff the heck out of kanthal.
Have I ordered tempered nickel?

if that wasn't clear, of course not. I'm going to "female dog" about temp control more before I take any further steps to better my experience. But I did receive my dna40's and my fat daddy Vapes 510 connectors today, so now when I have the chance, I can update my flask to authentic dna40... I have 1 authentic dna40 now already built (from a separate transaction) which actually belongs to one of my son's, the other son has a sx mini m class, so I've used temp control across 3 chips... Yihi, Evolv and who ever makes the ChiNA40 clone chip.
Lightning Vapes in the usa does now carry tempered nickel, it's about $22 a 100' spool shipped (g/t) which is a couple of bucks more than stealth Vapes, but stealth is 100 metres so about 160ft. But from lightning Vapes I would have it in a couple of days vs 10+ days from the UK.
I need to try the tempered, but as you know I've not been happy with my whole TC adventure. And I'm not sure the tempered (stiffer?) wire would actually make much difference since building on the annealed is really not "difficult" just different.
Let's just say I were to order tempered nickel. Would y'all suggest 28g or 30g?
Definitely 30ga and maybe 29ga. Currently loving 29ga. Dude, I'd be happy to send you some to try out before you make a bigger investment. God knows I have way more than enough but - I just wouldn't want to be yelled at if I happened to send it wrapped around a used cardboard box
Been considering both of the new decks. The dual coils would be great! What are the advantages of the b deck? Just better wicking? What did it change for you over the w deck?
For me the B deck has much more flavour and vapour. Prefer it to the other decks. However having leaking issues trying to get over that!
D deck not tried.

The leaking is what worries me. Can't decide if I should order both or not.
Out of curiosity, what PG/VG ratio are you using? Maybe the B deck would work better with heavier juices? I still have yet to to try mine, but was planning on starting with 70% VG and seeing how that went. I really hate leaks, especially on the flask [emoji53]. Maybe a good idea to start on one of my less beloved mods.
Yesterday was my 1st B deck day. Vapes well for the 2/3 tank, then started gurgling/leaking badly. Few things..
Noted the nickel kinda sags lower, could be bcos it is too soft(30g) to hold the over saturated wick..
Also the set wattage was at 20w, only hitting just over 300F.. Increased to almost 30w, hitting 400F, and the gurgling/leaking seems to hv stop.
Today trying the hardened 30g nickel, and about 29w.. Hopes it solves the issues.
Have to say, vapor and flavor is very good. Used to be at the 2nd smallest air hole, now at 3rd, and getting better flavor

Exactly the same issue above, vapes beautifully until around half way and that's it leaks bad. I've only put few builds on so need more time to experiment.
This is with kanthal though.
