Hello ECF! My name is Blake, I've been vaping since April 2011, when I was referred by a local B&M's daughter to come into her step dad's shop since I smoked cigarettes. The store is called E-Cig City, and from that day I haven't smoked a single analog.
I started with the KR808-D, and eventually worked myself up to the Ego-C with a CE4 tank. From that point, I was experimenting with mechanical mods on dripper (the struggles of 3-4 wraps with 28g on silica is something I hope nobody ever has to experience).
From that point on, Kayfuns and other flavor chasing devices dominated until the introduction and mainstreaming of regulated box mods, as well as Subtanks that became popular during the Summer/Fall of 2014.
One of the most amazing things about being in this industry is helping people quit smoking. As much as the majority of vapers see it as an alternative, I've helped and witnessed many people who were struggling to battle an addiction so strong that their own lives were at immediate risk. They took up vaping to improve and better their conditions. Not only do most vape stores make customers happy, but I've gotten praise from happy doctors who see electronic cigarettes as a better alternative to conventional smoking. In my area we deal with an older demographic, and they tend to have the longest history with smoking.
I currently work at E-Cig City, as it has been two years since I started. I've met tons of amazing people who continue to support vaping as well as people who entered the industry themselves. There's a sense of uncertainty in the immediate future of vaping with us on the eve of regulations, but there's good in helping people, and I hope that we don't lose that ability to do so.
I probably won't post much, but I always enjoy to see the abundance of excellent information being posted here. Thank you for reading!
