Spearfisher and foster67, as a new vaper myself I can share a couple things I learned the hard way. For me I do the mouthdraw and then inhale. If I try to do a lung hit I will gag but a light pull for 7 to 10 seconds for a mouth hit and then inhale is smooth and good flavorful vapor exhale. Heavy PG juice burns the throat but you want enough PG to VG ratio or the cartomizer will not wick properly and you dont get the burn taste. And dont go for the heavy duty batteries at first. I have 2 of the mod batts (tree of life and the caravela clone) and they hit hard. Too much for me with a RDA. I got off ebay some ecig 510 batteries that are perfect for walking around in your shirt picket and the kanger TS3 is also great. The CE4 clearomizers are also cheap on ebay and are ok but I had problems with them leaking and not wicking properly. Hope this info helps you guys. As far as how I am feeling after 6 weeks, great. I am not always out of breath all the time now, the sinus problem I had for over a year is gone and I am sleeping better I noticed. Have not woken up hacking and gagging since I started. Things like a glass of orange juice that I always loved are too strong.

I didn't start vaping to quit smoking. I just wanted something to tide me over until I could get a smoke break at work. It took me about 6 months to realize I didn't need real tobacco anymore. I just got further and further away from wanting to fire up a real smoke. 40 year habit kicked. It's now been 9 months without real tobacco..... I don't miss it. Good luck to you.

Well, it's been 13 mos. no tobacco for me after 53 yrs.; and like a few others here, from the first toot switched over pretty easy. Don't know how long I'll vape. May never quit; but if I do and a life crisis comes along, I know I'll have something other than a cigarette.....or my thumb to suck on! :p

I've seen family members who quit for years, then went back to smoking. Nice to know we have a "backup" plan far, far better.
