At least I think that's what it tastes like, not ever having actually smoked a sock before; however the eGo T is providing an excellent facsimile thereof. Mmmmm, burnt, nasty plastic, yummeh. First atty was 100% burnt nastiness all the time. Second atty was great at first, but would then revert to a mild aftertaste of burnt grodiness. Then, after a day, it also decided 100% burnt was a good flavor for everything. Plus the tanks? Frequently suck. One out of maybe five or so just didn't fit no matter how you shove, or the end cap insisted on popping off inside the atty, necessitating a retrieval operation using my needle tipped tweezers that really ought to be used to knot pearls, not probe a PV's depths.

I was poking around and realized that an eGo is threaded for 510. Is there any reason I can't just stick a 510 cartomizer on the eGo battery? Cartos hold plenty of juice for how I use them. I'd love it if I could just pitch the bloody tanks and use some basic cartos, and not have just wasted $70 to vape plastic. (The crap overpriced RN4081 I bought was cheaper and better tasting, not to mention way less hassle, how sad is that?)

As it is, the eGo T is resting inside my drawer and I'm using a plain ol' 510 I got for $20ish on a Memorial day sale and enjoying the burnt-yak-free taste quite a bit.

Thanks! I couldn't *believe* it was that easy. Too bad I bought an extra lr atty, oh well. I'm sure I've spent $12 on worse things. I do believe I'll relegate the tanks to the round file with pleasure. It's amazing how much they suck. I'm vaping it right now with a carto on it- soooo much better! Ohmigod. Too bad I only have two cartos to play with right now. It looks a little less streamlined without the atty, but who cares- it works about a zillion times better.

Get yourself a 510 drip tip for that atty and drip right onto it. Just 2 or 3 drops at a time....great way to test new flavors before you fill a whole carto...

Oh wait...was it a tank style atty? If so i think it comes with a tip on it already....you can still use it to drip tho....if you pop the pierce tube and wick out of it...

I have a drip tip, but I was flailing around with it and not getting any vapor out of it really. (I was using it on the regular Joye 510 + atty not the eGo). I don't know what I was doing wrong and haven't, in fact, spent a heck of a lot of time searching how to drip. I put about three drops on the bridgey bit but nada. Tried a couple more drops, flooded it, blew it out, tried again, same thing. Sigh. I am a bit mechanically un-inclined though, it's probably something I'm doing wrong...

I bought a tank too and the only thing i think of it now is damn that 13.00 could have bought me so much more. I switched to cartos after that since my reason for buying the tank was drip-free vaping in the car and at work But i didn't really like them either. I just got a box of CE2 clearomizers in the mail yesterday and it's everything i was hoping it would be you might want to check them out. IMO they are very superior to above equipment.

What resistance did you get? Thanks!

and i also recommend using your drip tip on them instead of the rubber tip they come with. Their tip is very narrow and the condensation tends to build up and you can get some in your mouth, and you'll need to buy a syringe to fill them if you don't have one already i bought mine at my vapor store and they sell a clearo filling kit that comes with a syringe and a few plastic blunt needles it was like $2.50.

I bought 5 ego-tankomizers. The first one tasted all-right, but there was no T-hit, so I put some strong T.V. Cherry Cough Drop in it and it was just all-right. I stopped using it and went back to my 901, then a friend said that he liked his tank, so I gave the second tankomizer a try it worked great. There was normal T-hit, full flavor and it lasted almost three weeks. The third tank kept burning (in taste and literally it went SHHHHHEEEEEWWWWW after each hit was over(I hate that sizzle sound bad atty's make)).
The fourth one was not ""as bad"" as the third one, but no T-hit and not very good tasting. It still had that AFTER-BURN but not as bad (IT shouldn't have any AFTER-BURN at all). And the Fifth one was just as bad as the fourth one.
The only thing good I can say about all five of them is that they produced a lot of vapor, but only ONE GOOD one out of five isn't worth it. BUT--------KEEP ON TRYING, EGO, YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK. HOPE THE NEXT GENERATION TANK YOU MAKE WORKS.
As for my friend who said that the tank works good, I gave him one of the CE2 Clearomizer, now he gave up the tank and ordered a bunch of the Clearomizers.
As for me, I am sticking with my Blue Foam filled 901 attys on The Joker Vari-volt set at 4.4 volts. The BEST flavor, T-hit and vapor of all. Waffles and Carmel Popcorn love the 901. And my second e-cig I carry is the EGO with the Clearomizers. Good flavor, T-hit and vapor for the lighter flavors (555, IVape cherry, watermelon and Irish Cream).

The clearomizers keep coming apart if your not careful and you have to do the tip and swirl.
i learned that the hard way and almost drained one into my battery. Holding the clearo by the base when you screw it into the battery will avoid that problem for the most part, and fluffing up the wick on both sides of the coil before filling has greatly if not completely reduced the need to tip and swirl.

Thanks for posting this. I have decided never to try the tank system. There should have been FAR more testing done before they started selling them. Until something better comes along, I will stick with cartos.

Good call. Serious waste of $$$ and juice, for sure. Just not workable, especially if there are so many other people with the same problem.

Glad to know I made the right decision by going with the clearomizer. Hopefully it will get here soon so I can try it out, I'm pretty excited to see how they perform. I ordered the 2.4ohm ones tho, I hope that wasn't a mistake. I really like the LR Mega Cartos and I'm trying out the Boge LR 510 right now. Are the dual coil ones really good? I haven't tried those yet.
