Yes!

Hello all,

I am the The Llanero. I used to be a smoking snob, only smoking cigars occasionally. With time I started smoking them more often and became a regular at a local tobacco shop/bar. So I eventually switched to a pipe since it offered a good smoke and was cheaper than cigars. The demands of family life meant that I stopped going to the bar but I did continue to smoke my pipe at home until my wife became pregnant, then I was banished to the outdoors for smoking. That was ok, until winter came around, then the pipe lasted too long to comfortably to smoke outside. So I switched to cigarettes. I didn't really like them at first but I did like the fact that I could finish one in only a few minutes. Well now I am switching to the e-cig. I have lurked around the forum for about a week and have decided to buy a Vapor King kr8. I am inspired by the success stories that I have read here and I hope that since I am not a heavy smoker (it usually takes me a couple days to smoke a pack) that I can give up analogs completely. Take care all,

The Llanero

Hello, and welcome! I have a Kr8 that I love and I hear nothing but good things about Vapor Kings. I'm sure you'll love it.

Everyone is different, as far as how long it takes them to get off analogs.

Some people get their e-cig, fire it up, and don't touch another cigarette. Much to my surprise, that's how it's gone for me (though it's actually getting a little harder as I'm "detoxing").

Other people take weeks or months to slowly wean down. Pretty much everyone seems to experience an immediate reduction in how much they smoke, but it can take time to get to zero. If it doesn't happen overnight, don't worry about it. It's a process.

Good luck!

Mistress, detoxing meaning you are dropping your nic down?
I have a similar success story on vaping = no analogs. I had 1 the day after I got the kit, and another 4 days later, and YUK! tasted like an a$$tray.

3 weeks later and no analogs, and I have a pack with 1 out of it sitting here on my desk. :)

Good luck to everyone here in their journey, it's a much healthier way to live!

Cheers! :toast:

I'm one of those who made a total switch from analogs to ecigs right away...sort of. My first ecig was from BluCigs, which were horrible. They tasted okay when they worked, but the battery life was like 40 minutes, and cartridges worked only occasionally. I returned the BluCigs kit under their money back guarantee and ordered a Joye eGo kit. I briefly returned to analogs while waiting for my eGo.

Since I got my eGo, a week ago, I have not touched an analog. In fact, tobacco smoke really bothers me now when I am near a smoker. Go figure.

No, detoxing means you're not inhaling the other 4000 chemicals in cigarettes anymore, many of which are potentially addictive (it's not just nicotine!).

Cigarettes have lots of MAOI's as well. Nicotine plays a part in that relationship, but when you remove the tobacco, you remove a lot of MAOI's, so your brain may be on the fritz for a while.

Lots of people also get tired, get acne, constipation, etc, from detoxing off all of them chemicals that are in treated tobacco when it's burnt.

If anyone is interested in an update,

I got my order and my first impression was the vapor wasn't really very flavorful compared to cigarettes. But then I smoke the last of my cigs and realized that they aren't really flavorful either. Over the last week or so I have started to enjoy the vapor more. I tend to like the menthol and candy flavors the best. I haven't had a cigarette since July, 14th, and I don't really want one. I am also only ordering cartomizers with 0 nicotine even tho sometimes the vendor gives me freebies with nicotine. I don't really want to use the ones with nicotine since I am trying to get off it completely, but hey are free so I can just throw them away I guess.
