OH MY LANTA!!! eGo for 3.5 days and both batteries blown!?!

Hi all,
I am so flippin' frustrated!!! We got our ego on Mon. afternoon and now neither battery works. This afternoon, I thought that the vape tasted funny--that yucky burnt plastic taste. I added juices to the atty and cart. Still not very good vapor output and the yucky taste. Took off the atty and tried it on my husband's battery, a little better but still not much better. Tried his atty on my battery--worked fine. We traded back and then neither one of them worked on either battery!!! We have 2 spare attys. None work on either battery. The button just flashes. Put battery #1 on the charger...nothing--green light (should be red as it was used all day.) Battery #2, same exact thing!
We over paid a little for this kit in the first place ($85-2 batteries, 2 attys, 1 cone, 10 carts, and 30ml juice)
But, the worst part is that I have been analog free!!! UGH!!! I don't wanna go back!!!

Does any of this make sense?

Sounds like either you were using LR attys(not recomended), or the batts shorted at the batt conection. I lost one that way, but I got lucky, the debris was on the batt end of the connector. If the short is on the atty end, then both batts shorted from the one bad atty. As others have said, contact the supplier. Hopefully they will help you out.

Is a possibility the carts ran dry and you did not realize it. This is a common mistake in the beginning.
Try putting a couple drops of e-liquid on the mesh IN the atomizer and put some e-liquid in the cart. Drip in the cart slowly until it looks a bit slushy-not pooling on top of the filler material.
 
hey I just ordered the ego kit on sale... and I have no clue as to why my pass thru is not working...should be. But it will not be like it is with the ego. Wait for the green battery to charge and it should hold you over till you get back from denton..

Rosa, I am so glad you asked!!! vaporesence.com--he has a walk-in store about an hour from us. We didn't realize it until we got home but, he charges more in person than he does on-line!!! Hmph!!!

Does anyone know how to tell if an ego is authentic joye?

Thanks, Panda! Not sure about a warranty but, I will be there when he opens in the am! We have only had it 3.5 days!!!

We are using regular attys and knew to not dry them out. But, thanks for trying to help!!! xoxo

Well even if you do have to smoke, you should get a replacement tomarrow and then all will be ok... but i bet if you do try to smoke it will make you sick and you wont like it. I dont know how he is out there smoking!! the v4l takes a long time to charge but should be charged enough by now to hit on it afew time before bed...

I have a charger that does that when plugged into the computer, but plugged into the wall it works as expected. Give that a try (if you haven't already). Other than that... sounds like that one atty burnt them both out, was it LR (low resistance) as those have been reported to short out batteries.

I had one battery burn out when I tried to remove it from my battery charger (at which time I saw smoke come from the battery) and my vendor replaced it. I thought my charger was fine. Then I noticed the usb part of the charger was acting weird. I would plug in a battery and it would not turn red (when the battery had a flashing light.) I bought a second charger (was a mere $6 or $7) and threw away the first one before burning out my second battery.

We've ordered from Vaporesence a couple of times and so far haven't had any issues with our stuff. Hopefully they will make it right for you guys.

I had a T-Rex battery go bad after a week and the vendor I got it from replaced it with no issues. I would think that most vendors of e-cigarettes want to make any transaction right in this quickly growing industry. Word travels quickly especially around the forums.

In the event you require warranty service, please contact us with the details and a return authorization. Please include what is wrong with your item.
