Hi all. Another newbie amongst all you vaping veterans. I've been vaping for two weeks now in my quest to get off the stickies. 20+ year habit of little Swisher Sweet cigars, about 1/2 PAD of them. Doing okay so far, still searching for a good ADV flavor. Have about 8 flavors so far, none of which are going to end up being it yet. I've got a mix of tobacco and fruity flavors and will experiment with more to hone down a list of favorites.

I've got decent enough yet simple equipment for beginning, I suppose. Two 1300 mah Spinners, three mini Davide tanks and a handful of new heads. I'm fortunate to have many B&M's nearby, although I've only been in one so far. I'll switch to another next time I need juice as the one I've used is too high priced on theirs compared to the prices I've seen on some others sites. I'm going to venture into DIY juice quite soon too I'm sure.

Still on the stickies some, although I never intended to get off them right away. I'm down to about 1/2 of what I was smoking daily so I'm okay with that at this point, and I'm not vaping really what I'd called a lot so far.

Anyway, very nice group here with tons of great info and encouragement for us newbies. thanks to those of you who have contributed to make this such a great site. Vape on!

welcome to the ECF. i started out with coffee flavors and quickly tired of that. been on the dessert flavors ( caramel, vanilla, toffee etc) for about 4 months. i couldn't even stand to smell a tobacco flavor....until i tried a RY4 with extra caramel and vanilla.. perfect for me when sometimes you want to recapture the tobacco taste. i DIY repurposed jelly jars (100mil) now every few weeks. its that good!
best of luck on your journey and remember...if you want it to work it will.

Thanks dedi and planes. I'll look into the subzero too. Still looking for one I really like that stands out amongst the others. I'll get there. Vaping some Grape right now and it's pretty good but not sure I'd like it all day. I like cinnamon oil too but I saw there may be some concerns with vaping the cinnamon flavors so being conservative on them, will finish the two bottles I have though. I've found some Tigers Blood that is pretty good also. Thanks again. This place is great.

Hi Pheezer and welcome to ECF and the wonderful world of vaping. Sounds like you are making great progress. Glad to hear that you've cut your tobacco use by half in a short amount of time. Everyone's path is a bit different and it seems you are moving forward on your path. The suggestions of trying some places that have tasting/sampling bars is a good one. Also, don't forget about sample packs from some vendors. Many are reasonably priced and let you get 4 or 5 flavors for about $10 which is a pretty good deal. The search for the flavors I like has been a fun one. I get to learn from every juice. I learn what I like and I learn what I don't like, so every trial is worth it.

Thanks for sharing your experience and I hope you find ECF and the folks here to be helpful, supportive and non-judgmental. I've sure found them to be that way and the people here have enhanced my vaping experience.

Keep the vape and namaste.

You may want to try mixing some of the flavors as a step towards DIY e-liquids. I haven't yet gotten into making my own concoctions from scratch, but by mixing two different juices I've recently found a flavor that I really like a lot. It's a 9:1 mix of Halo's Menthol ICE and Halo's SubZero. Before I mixed them, my favorite flavors were their Menthol ICE and CoolMist liquids, but I really wanted just a bit more menthol "kick", and straight SubZero was too much menthol concentration for my taste. So I combined 2.7mL of Menthol ICE with 0.3mL of SubZero in a syringe with 0.1mL graduation marks on it - and the taste was utter heaven.

Of course, if you don't crave menthol like I do, this particular mix may not work for you. Perhaps there are two (or more?) other flavors that you might try mixing.

I may very well find something that I like even more than this current MI/SZ mix when I begin creating my own juices. But until then, I've found a flavor that I'm very happy with.

:)
