I think it's great if people very new to
vaping want to go straight for a ProVari Mini or a ZMax mini, but it isn't all that necessary IMO.
You can use a $14 Joyetech eGo-T Upgrade variable voltage battery and get similar vaping experience depending on your juice vessel. An eGo Twist, Vision Spinner VV, etc. The one thing my buddy set my first kit up with was all VV devices, and it really did come in handy when I decided to put other tanks on the eGos.
I have used the VAMO and Zmax for a few hours each, they are nice. But is the vape that much better when using an EVOD bcc compared to my eGo vv batteries? No. With a Protank? No, not really IMO. With a carto tank, hell yes. Does the ProVari or ZMAX or whatever give you more options? Sure. Does it guarantee a better vape over the day, probably.
The way I see it is that I'd rather get a itaste MVP, two eGo Twists, three bottles of juice and two protanks for the money I'd spend on a ProVari mini. At least now. Once I have all this stuff figured out and I'll likely get a Provari Mini, just don't see the need right now. That's me though. Point is that people can find smaller vv devices that do the trick and be economical about it. There is so much information to digest when it comes to vaping and people get scared off of it a little I think.
