Oh no, I've become one of THEM.

I always swore that if I ever quit smoking I wouldn't become one of those ex smokers that would be bothered by people smoking around me. Most of the time it doesn't bother me but the longer I don't smoke the more bothered I get. At first I would hang around the smokers inhaling the second hand smoke but now I just want to spray them all with Febreeze or something.

I don't look down on people that smoke but the smell is starting to really bother me. I couldn't smell it when I smoked but now I can tell if someone is a smoker from 10 feet away. I am just sad that I ever smelled like that. I even apologized to my wife and kids after a week of vaping for smelling like an ashtray for all these years.

Isn't it nice to have your sense of smell back? :)

I'm glad to say that I have never become one of THEM. The smell of cigarette smoke still doesn't bother me, but I must admit the way certain people smell AFTER they have smoked is really gross. It's funny. Even after quitting and vaping full time, my ex-wife (who continued to smoke analogs), never smelled that way. But after my Uncle smokes, he REEKS!

And, considering your avatar, you won't be able to get away quickly in your car too. :):toast:
Moraga boy here, by the way. :)

I hate being around cigarette smoke. My roommates smoke in the back house and I usually end up leaving within a few minutes if I'm hanging out in there with them.

Went to St. Mary's. Graduated '91.
Still have a house on Newberry place.
I doubt you worked at Lamo Pizza when I was there.
Talk about smoking outside :)
Sorry for the OT. Just reminiscing here. :)

I grew up in Lafayette and went to Campolindo. I used to spend a lot of time in Moraga years ago (worked at Lamorinda Pizza for a couple of years too). :thumb:

The car does go pretty well.

My whole smoking life, I had to smoke outside, except for my beautiful late Yaya, none of my family members are smokers. Three years before she died she was pressured into giving up smoking, she couldn't and used to sneak out and hide behind bushes and trees to smoke. Can you imagine a 86 year old woman having to resort to hiding? Bless her heart.
Anyway, so when I started smoking Everyone was Horrified, I never smoked indoors or in cars and have never smoked in front of my Parents. For me although I enjoyed smoking when out with friends, never could stand the smell of it. My husband never smoked and never once complained about it but I was the one completely paranoid, always busy with sprays, perfume, masking agents, I must have walked around smelling like an Egyptian Souk!
Things are much much better now. For the first time Ever I can vape indoors, in my car, Anywhere!!! YAY!
As for other peoples smoke I don't like the smell, but you gotta do what you gotta do.:)

I graduated from Campo in 1997 and worked at the pizza place around '98-'00. I delivered a lot of pizzas to St. Marys. I'd burn through a pack of smokes in 3-4 hours when I was driving. When there was down time at the pizza place we'd just sit around and smoke.

I take it that you're familiar with Frank and Fudge Alley as well?

I feel you on the reminiscing.

I am not at all bothered by the smell of "fresh" cigarette smoke, (fresh may not be the best term for it, but I mean the kind that is coming directly from a lit cigarette), however, the smell of the smoke on someone's clothing, or hair makes my stomach churn now.

Me too. I can actually go sit with someone smoking for at least one and sometimes enjoy the fresh burning smell, but can't stand it on someone that just came in from smoking.
