Thanks for the support. I just want my banner to be right. Just the way I'm wired I guess. If I cheat on it then I'll never really know how I've done.

I'm the same way. Quitting = Zero cigarettes.

I smoke one cigarette each day...the very first thing I do when I wake up. vaping is a rough sport and when I get out of bed, my e-cig scares the hell out of me. So I have one analog to start my day and it serves as a primer. I'd like to stop doing that but until I do, I haven't quit!

Last night I dreamed that I smoked part of a cigarette, and I was so mad at myself in the dream. It's been over 4 months and I would be mad if I screwed up. But like the others said, don't worry about it. Next time you get the urge, just try to vape through it.
That is a common thing in addictions apparently. I got mad in mine. I'm in recovery for another and you hear that from all the new guys.
They fade with time from what I have heard. I only had 2. None on analogs yet.

+ Above, everybody!

I'm on day 15, and averaging 2 to 3 analogs per day still. So I technically haven't quite quit yet.

On the other hand, this is down from 55 analogs per day on average. I'm not kicking myself.

You didn't fail, you don't lose what you gained, you merely stopped gaining during the (very small) time period of that one cig. No big deal, and you got right back on the horse.

Smoking is an incredibly difficult habit to break and there's nothing wrong with weaning yourself off the cigs if you find you have to. Two days without is a HUGE accomplishment and NOBODY can take that away from you.

On previous methods? I lasted a few hours, that was it. I've never gotten this low before. I'm proud of that, and I should be.

You should be proud of two days without and vastly reduced usage the day of your "slip."

I really do appreciate your all's concern. I'm not beating myself up over anything. I'm good with what I've done so far. Funny story to let you know how I am. I work for the state and got a phone call from my Major one day. He ask if I had been smoking in the state vehicle. (It's against the law in Oklahoma to smoke or use any tobacco product on state property). Any way I told him not at the moment. He ask if I had been earlier and I said "Well not really cause I hang it out of the window. (Insert lafter here). He got so mad. When he came out to give me the write up that would go on my work record, he really didn't want to have to do it. (I got the best boss in the world and think of him like a brother, we been on rides together and have always had a good relationship). He started on the speech he had made for me. I told him to save it and just tell me where to sign. I got caught and it was ok. The other person that got turned in said that she was chewing on her ink pin which happened to be white also just like a analog. If you ask me a question, I will always tell the truth. If you don't ask then you don't get the truth. Just the way I'm wired. and Damn proud of it. By the way it was a member of the legal counsel that caught me. LOL

You'll be fine... just don't do what I did. I vaped exclusively for close to 4 months.. broke down during a high stress time, bought a pack and decided I'd failed. I was right back to smoking for a few months because I was a failure and that's what I deserved. One day I woke up and decided that was asinine. I hadn't failed, I'd discovered something that did work... I just didn't stay with it. I started vaping again in April and allowed myself to smoke if I had to. Much less stress... worked my way to where a cigarette tastes like pirate ...., and because smoking wasn't something I denied myself, I naturally got to a point where I can have one if I want one... but truly don't want it anymore. On my previous attempt, I was denying myself and the craving had never left.

LOL. I'll bet your honesty is refreshing to him.

If I could go the rest of my life and just smoke one a day and be satisfied with that, I'd never even consider quitting completely. My problem is that if I smoke one, then I'll want another, and I'll spend every waking moment thinking about when I get to have my next one. So one leads to two, which leads to 4, which leads to . . . . well, you get the idea.
