After 5 days with no analog cig. I gave in tonight and rolled one.:(
3 drags from the analog and I Have a Headache :(
Has anyone had this happen to them?
I think it's kinda like breaking off a long-term bad relationship. You know it's got to end, you know it's not healthy, but something keeps you hanging in there until you find the strength to say goodbye. LOL Maybe you just needed to see if the attraction was still there; maybe you needed to remind yourself how bad it really was.

Don't sweat it. If you really enjoyed those three puffs, then you might have to rethink equipment, nic levels, or juice. But three puffs is just a bittersweet kiss adieu.

Not the headache, but it took me about four days to get completely off cigarettes. The first thing in the morning was when I wanted to smoke, after that, going the rest of the day vaping was no problem. But by the fifth day I started with vaping and never went back to cigarettes. Two or three times I felt the urge to light up but never did and it just got easier after that.

Stay after it and don't worry if you decide to smoke one here and there. No big deal. But I think you'll find you are able to get completely away from cigarettes real soon.

Better question: has anyone not had this happen to them?

I can best sum up my method of quitting in one word: Relax.

I never wanted to quit, only did so not out of trying per se, but of giving myself the vaping option and leaving a pack of analogs within easy reach and plain sight--and letting the chips fall where they may. No emotional turmoil, no self-discipline or self-flaggelation. When I really wanted the analog, I smoked one.

Vaping never overpowered my will to smoke; I just gave it time, and it displaced it.

The pack of analogs is still there where I left them--over a month ago.

Personally, I don't see it as a slip, when I did it after 2 weeks it was because I wanted to confirm that I didn't need them anymore, at least that's the story I'm sticking to.
while ratting around in my tool box at work I found a pack with 2 smokes in it (no telling how long it had been in there), went to the smoking area and lit up. Took 2 drags and threw it away and threw the other one in the trash. Haven't looked back since and I feel GREAT, well actually I feel kinda lumpy in the spare tire area:blink:

I agree with PoliticallyIncorrect.

Yes, this has happened to ALL of us. :)

And it's really not a big deal. Having 3 drags on a cig is not the end of the world. Hell, having a whole one, or two, or three, is not the end of the world. And the more you pressure yourself, the harder it will be.

I did manage to totally stop smoking the first day. I wanted to quit, and I decided that if vaping took most of the edge off, I'd just keep vaping. And if I really wanted a cig, I'd have one. It just turned out that vaping really did it for me.

And then, 3 weeks in, I was in a very stressful situation, and I had a cigarette.

It tasted like crap, and didn't make me feel any better. Well, now I know.

The fact that I had a cigarette isn't the end of the world. I still consider myself 2 months smoke-free, even though I had that one cigarette somewhere in the middle.

Having one cigarette doesn't automatically transform you back into an active smoker. Smokers smoke every day, multiple times a day. I just had a cigarette. No big deal.

Went straight back to my e-cig, and that was that.
