I don't have a multimeter to check this for sure. I wanted to know if people have been measuring ohm ratings throughout the day on a Smoktech 1.5 ohm Dual Coil Carto. I use a VV mod and throughout the life of the carto have have to keep lowering the voltage or else my juice taste burnt. I tested my mod with a voltmeter on it to make sure that the loaded voltage was accurate to see if maybe it was my mod, but my mod is working perfectly. I start out with around 3.8v then towards the end of I vape it at around 2.7v. Is this because the ohm are dropping during use that much or is it something else. How is this happening?

Ohms will drop as sediment collects on the coil. To be honest, I've never had this problem with cartos, only attys. I pitch my cartos before they get that dirty. I tend to use clean juice in cartos though, so it could be an issue if you use them a long time or like juice that tends to clog up.

You mention you start the day at a higher voltage. Does this happen the next day with the same carto? If that's the case I don't think it's the ohms; they won't come back up without cleaning. I'd guess the problem would more likely be juice quantity or wicking.

I have never had any drop in a dual coil, and though I haven't used it much, I have had a DC sitting in the same tank for about 2 or more weeks and it still hits like new. I think dual coils are best in an 18650 fully charged mod like the Precise or SB or at 4.1 on the Provari, and if you have a VV I would get some Boge 3ohm Single coils as they put out much more vapor at 4.7-5 than a dual coil. What kind of VV mod do you have? I had an Infinity Pro that with the slightest move would go from 4.7 to 5.2 and would make a burnt taste in my carto's, though I didn't use DC on it because it was not recommended.
