My first order is showing out for Delivery.. Yippee.

Just washed the kayfun and sat down to build a new coil. Self I says, what's a good ohm for that new CLS
Flavor? So, self says to self ( I may need mental help now that I talk back to myself ) ask the Nicoticket family
They would know.

Myself and my better half normally use a 80vg/20pg. Since CLS is 50vg/50pg will 1.1 to 1.5 ohms be to hot?
In our past experience we found that higher PG would burn our throat if the ohms were below 1.8 ohms.

kayfun is ready for a new coil and I'm peeking out the blinds excitedly looking for that new juice.

What y'all suggest?? Comments on mental health will be taken subjectively :2cool:

Do you have a VV or mechanical? I like to vape custards and other sweet and creamy juices at medium to medium high watts/temps. My current Kayfun build is 1.4 ohm which is a happy medium for my fruit, creamy, and tobacco juices but I have a VV so I just dial it up or down depending on what I'm vaping. PG is generally harder on the throat at any watt level. Unless you are really sensitive to PG, you won't have a problem with CLS. Its my favorite custard and it vapes really smooth. If you really enjoy CLS (which I know you will) try the Creme Brulee because its very similar but with a more caramelized sugar taste.

Dave, I use a mechanical mod. The kayfun sits on a Nemesis. I was thinking that 1.3 to 1.4 may be a good starting point. After reading your
Suggestion my mental health ain't so bad.. Well, in my opinion anyway cause, I just ask me and I got a positive answer. LOL

I vape all juices at 7.5 but with HS I like to go up or down depending on what flavor I want to be out in front...

Oh my! My goodness!

Coil came in at 1.26 ohms and CLS came in a purple bubble wrap envelope with H one N one and some CB TOO..
loaded the kayfun with the CLS let it sit for a short bit and WOW!

NO pg burn in the throat, flavor right out of the mail is excellent. This won't have time to steep that's for sure.
vapor production is wonderful and I'm not a cloud chaser but I am a flavor chaser.

Over the last 8 or so months its been hit and mostly miss on our juices.
You folks were right on with the ohm range for Custer's Last Stand.

Vaping it and typing, typing and gaping. Buzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh yes, its a keeper!
Oh wow, got 2 more to try yet but, I cant stop with the CLS. YUMMMMMMM

Thanks to all for the suggestion on the ohms.

This. It might not hit right away, could be a quick infection or a slow one, but my money's on absolute sickness either way.

I like bakery flavors at 0.8 and BG and Gravity above 1.2. Some of the other fruits I'll go down to 0.8, but usually all fruits 1.2.

It's ok to talk to yourself. It is ok to answer yourself. It is when you go "What did you say?" that you have problems...

I vape CLS in a Kayfun Lite on a Nemesis between 1.1 and 1.2 after much trial and error. It is almost impossible to burn CLS so start with a number you are comfortable with and adjust from there. I got too much "egg" at higher ohms, but my tastebuds are weird anyway.

THIS is what I think I was missing. I run most of my fruits in kayfun at 1.4 but good call on running reo at sub ohm on bakery.

My dive into the vaping world was with a Nemesis clone and kayfun. Its a really good looking and performing setup. I now only use my Nemy with my patriot when I'm sub ohming but the kayfun gets a lot of use with my Sigelei 20W. I have Root Beer Float from NT in it right now and its luscious and refreshing.

Hijacking this thread a bit.. I just got a kayfun lite + to go on my new provari mini. The guy I bought it from (B&M) built it with a 2.0ohms microcoil (and cotton wick). I asked him why since I'd been reading everywhere Kayfuns are better between 1.2 and 1.8. He said he does that because it gives you a wider range to adjust the voltage.

Would you guys advise running it with something lower (not planning on sub-ohming) ? Does it really make a difference when we can adjust the voltage ? I'm mainly chasing flavor, don't really care that much about vapor production.

The KF is running H1N1, but I'll soon get a couple clones (EHpro) that I've yet to decide what I'll use them for. One of them will probably end up running something fruity and low nic.

Note - I've never built a coil. Planning on playing with that once I get the EHPros. I have 28, 29 and 30 kanthal.
