Oil in new clearomizers

I have bought a few clearos recently and they seem to have some foul tasting oil in them. I have burned off a few before vaping and had no problems but some seem to have a lingering taste.

Really wanted to see if anyone knows what the oil is and if it is harmful to vape. I really don't want to wash out every clearo before use.

90% of the time its PG they use it to keep the silica wicks from drying out, not big deal, you can rinse or burn it off

I suggest it's some residual from the manufacturing process. I wash all my tanks and clearos in hot soapy water and dry thoroughly. You wouldn't use a pan you just bought at walmart and put a steak in it without washing...
I know it's a pain, but I would clean stuff you are going to be inhaling from

Thanks for the help. What's in it the other 10% of the time. Really dosen't taste like pure PG.

Yeah your right. I'll wash them out from now on. I guess the sealed plastic packaging kinda made me think they would be sanitary to vape right away.
