So my kGo kit arrived today (from NW Vapors) as well as a bunch of different e liquid that I ordered from Dark City Vapors. I like the way it feels, it charged quickly, and I think once I get used to it things will be good. I have to say, though, that all the bottles of juice from Dark City smell like coffee/butterscotch. At first I thought maybe one of the coffee flavored samples spilled, but they were in three separate bags, and ALL of the bottles smell. I have also tried three of them (one in an EMDCC, one in a CE4 and one dripped onto the atty) and they all kind of taste like that too - the flavors I tried were a plain tobacco one, a menthol tobacco one and an apple/lemonade one. It's like a combination of the flavor, coffee and butterscotch, and soap! Blech. So what am I doing wrong? Am I just not used to this yet? I did blow some primer out of the atty I was using. Oh, and the cartridges that came with the kit do not have that same taste, just the stuff from Dark City.
I hope I either get used to the taste of these or find one that doesn't have a soap aftertaste and stinks like butterscotch!

Some liquids get better with age...ones you hate now, you may like in a week or so. I use CE2 Ultimate Clearomizers on 510-T batts and at first they tasted like burnt tires. Modded the seals on the clearos as they were choking the wicks, went back to a menthol and another tobacco flavor i bought two weeks ago and they rocked...nothing I tried those two juices in would help the taste. Now I will be buying more. Find something you can tolerate in the mean time and then try those again in a week or so...hope it helps.

Unfortunately I dont know anything about Dark City Vapors but a tobacco flavor should taste nothing similar to a apple/lemonade juice, or like coffee/butterscotch and soap either for that matter. Think you got some bad juice and should get some from another vendor.

mooreted recommended some good vendors, suggest you try them out.

An apple/lemonade juice shouldn't taste like coffee/butterscotch and soap even if it hasn't fully or partially steeped. But rookbartley989 is right, sometimes letting a juice age or "steep" it will get better and taste totally different. So if you ever get a flavor your not crazy about, let it sit and come back to it, you might be pleasantly surprised at what you find.

I have never used that vendor. It may be bad batch problems. Or your taste/smell is getting something different from that chemical taste I have gotten from a couple juice places before. From my short experience (2 months) I would suggest trying different juice, or contacting seller if you think it may be a bad batch problem.
I like RawrVapor and Tasty Vapor
Good luck

Got my juices from DCV. Didn't have that problem exactly. I ordered two sample packs, plus one flavor that came with some cartos I ordered.

I did order 3 different coffee flavors, and while they're all similar, one I like - two I don't.

The other flavors I ordered were "sweet" plus one mint. None of them had a similar coffee whatever flavor. They're all unique.

I'm expecting 7 more flavors (2 sample packs, plus one flavor that comes with cartos) to arrive today. Couple tobacco, couple sweet, and I don't remember what else.

I say give them a shout and let them know what you're experiencing.

I get all my juices from Elite Vapor. And so far haven't come across any problems. My taste problems seem to come from my tanks. If i use a cart and atty, it tastes better than if I use a tank. I know.....thats bass ackwards, but that's me! Lol

Maybe that is part of the problem for me too, since I don't notice it when i use the prefilled carts that came with the kit and drip some extra juice into the poly fill - granted i am only trying that with the Cowboy that NW Vapors was kind enough to include with my kit and also the DCV Grappleade ( seems better today ) - yes, i am creating a Grape/apple/lemonade tobacco flavor! But compared to the flavor of the others...its tolerable for now. So maybe just those two cartos? Was there something I needed to do to prep the cartos before using them? I have some Boge LR cartos on the way...

My 24/7 vape is unflavored (innovapor) , but i always suggest to people to have a bottle of unflavored or generic juice in the stash incase something like these happends or also theres days/times where you just dont taste anything and is not worth wasting your favorite your juice like that.

Like people have suggested by sample bottles and trust me sometimes you get the right juice and the first try but most of the time is gonna be hit and miss.

I have had very good luck with Dark City Vapor as a vendor (one of the best, in my opinion), and like a lot of his juices. He does make all the juices up when you order, and several I have gotten from him get a whole lot better after they steep for a few days. The tobacco ones I got tasted like tobacco ... no butterscotch at all. I have several coffee flavors...they all taste different. The peanut butter chocolate is totally awesome.

Definitely talk with Bill...he on the online chat most evenings, and a great guy.

Did you just start vaping? Are you still smoking analogs? Consider that it might be your taste buds.....they will get a whole lot better very quickly.

So I have found that there are a few that I had ordered from DCV that do not have that weird butterscotchy/coffee/soapy taste - all of the tobacco ones do, so perhaps my taste buds are just off? Haven't tried any of the coffee ones since I have been a little put off of that scent. It was a great deal (3 samples for $5), so if I wasted $10 who cares...I may contact Bill though if after steeping for awhile it doesn't improve. One thing I was thinking is that maybe I am just unaware of what tobacco tastes like - clearly I only know what BURNING tobacco tastes like! So maybe an acquired taste?!

I received some Boge cartos and a raspberry juice from hoosierecigsupply, and there is no hint of that icky taste with these new supplies. Thanks, all, for your help! This is fun :)

ecblendflavors prices are great to try new things out.

Thanks! I do plan on trying out their stuff - I figure it might be better to get hooked on a cheap one instead of an expensive one! Might as well if I don't know what I'm missing!
Ordered 2 flavors from Backwoods Brews yesterday, so will wait and try them before ordering more stuff. My hubby thinks I'm nuts ordering so much! I feel like a kid at Christmas :)

If it taste like a burning filter I'd say it's burning the filler, needs more juice.

I am using a newly filled CE4 and a newly filled EMDCC...and I also get the same taste from them when I drip onto the atty or when I drip into the filler on a cartridge. So....thinking it's the juice or my taste buds ( the latter more likely, Lol! )
