Ok I didn't see this already anywhere so here it goes ...why does it seem all disposables have that ice/menthol hit to them no matter what the flavor

So personally don't care for disposables think there a waist but I've tried to like them cause seems that's what we ARe headed toward but hate ice and methol or that cool hit and it seems like if you get just grape it's gonna be on ice or with That hit I don't understand the purpose in this

I have seen this asked a lot on reddit. Unfortunately I have never seen a good response as no one really knows why the juice/disposables makers think everyone wants a mentholated vape. My theory is that they force it on you because it helps with throat hit, making :their brand" seem more "powerful" than others? So then everyone else followed suit and what you have now is 99% mentholated disposables? Just a theory.

There is a solution, though. Just go with an open pod system so you can control the juice aspect. Should be cheaper, too.

So I am very curious to know if you found any non icy/minty/menthol flavored disposables? I have wasted so much money trying and finally gave up. And i am so sick of hearing people say… “Just look for the ones that dont say ice.”

ECF isn't well versed in disposables. We've been here since day one of vaping so probably 99.999999% of everyone left here is still vaping on open systems and many of us are also making our own juice or stocked up on our favorite juices that are no longer available. So TBH, this isn't the best place to ask about disposables.

There used to to be a few subreddits dedicated to disposable vapes but they all got banned for some reason. You might get your answer on reddit's r/electronic_cigarette, but most there are also veteran vapers who don't use disposables.

Maybe this would be a good time to start a new disposable vape called NoCool or something like that. Maybe you can sell the idea to Mike Tyson.

I personally have not used them, but I expect it is to cover the pitiful hit you get off of it. The menthol gives a throat hit.

Fellas, this is a pretty old thread. The OP started it in 2023, and it gets necro'd every so often.

Considering a disposable will run you anywhere from 10-15 bucks a pop, and they're virtually impossible to refill, it makes more sense to get something like an Innokin Spectre that's rechargable, refillable, and your only replacement cost is the coil in the pod. For the price of two disposables, you can have a kit that will last you far longer and you get to put your own e-liquid into it.

Disposables vapers don't like to faff around with stuff.

It's no different with cigarette smokers.

Some smokers will roll their own and save a tone of money, but most don't want to do anything but buy a pack of prefabs, light-up, smoke it and dispose.

Open systems vaping is still a fairly large market, but dwindling just as DIY juice has dwindled. If it weren't for the fact that the forum format has taken a backseat to modern social media formats, ECF and other vape forums would be inundated with disposables vapers.

Not necessarily. I've turned quite a few away from the dark side mainly because they didn't know there were inexpensive alternatives that were similar in size. Most thought the only alternative was a big ol' honking mod with a glass topper that was difficult to hide.
