OK. If I'm wrong, I'll take my public flogging and promise to do better.

If you're not getting enough TH from 24mg liquids, you may need to up the voltage. Cheap way to test that out is a 2amp wall adapter and a skinny manual 510 passthrough. You'll be tethered to an outlet, but it's an inexpensive way to test the waters with higher voltage. You'll need a 3ohm atomizer or cartomizer as well. Best of luck finding what works best for you!

I am also thinking that perhaps there was some mis-labeling with you nic content because WOW, no TH at 24mg with a 100% PG juice  ... how can that be?? .. my throat feels violated at 12mg, lol!

Anyhoo the above suggestion sounds like a good one, to see if a higher voltage PV can up the ante for you.

Right, right, that's why I tried to choose my words very carefully.

I see your point. I think another factor is that vaping is far less efficient in getting nicotine into our systems than smoking. Now that I vape mostly 16mg - 18mg with an occassional 24mg, I couldn't go back to 36mg. But when I first started the transition, that 36mg came in handy. of course there where no better battery models back then to provide wamer vapor, either.

The only thing I haven't seen addressed here is the inhalation method...most times I wouldn't bring it up, but it can be the one thing that changes flavor and throat hit when nothing else does. I hope I don't insult you with these instructions, but I know for the first week I was trying to use my ecig like an analog, and it simply doesn't work with the sharp inhale you might be used to.

Try pushing your button for one second, without drawing in. Then only draw the vape into your mouth, for up to five seconds. When your mouth is full, then inhale it all, slowly. Not only is this a much tastier vape, your mouth is actually what absorbs the nicotine with vaping, not your lungs. So with this method you should be both tasting more, and getting more throat hit and nicotine delivery.

And even if this isn't the trick needed, welcome to ECF :) and happy vaping! :vapor:

Wow. Thank You Sweetz!!

This made quite a bit of difference in the sensation. I can't say it's exactly what I seek, but it's a good step in that direction.
I'm thinking that I need to branch out in different flavors and see if I can find some magic ones that work for me.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and advice.

It truly is appreciated.

Hi hrtim, congratulations on kicking the cigarette habit and a BIG welcome to the ECF. Nothing here is verboten! You can share your likes and dislikes, mention any juice or vendor by name and ask any questions. We are all here to learn and share.
I discovered ecigs a long time ago and started on those mini ones, moved up to 901's and a mod or two. I bought masses of ready made juice and DIY supplies, always trying to find that elusive throat hit and satisfaction. I never really liked a single juice and finally just mixed my own. I fell off the wagon more times than I was ever on it, and in the end I was only using ecigs in places tobacco was forbidden (trains, planes, airports etc.).
Then......
A few months ago I started hanging out here again, (after a long absence) read hundreds of threads and decided to buy some more stuff. Amongst other mods and things, I bought a VV (variable voltage) Box Mod (from MadVapes ), an eGo-T, a Provari, and a mixed lot of cartomizers from HealthCabin. I knew nothing about cartomizers since I had only experienced atomizers up to that point, and couldn't decide what was better - this way I could try out 7 different types (2 of each in the kit).
I also bought some ready made juice again, (after several years of vaping DIY). I was convinced to buy RiceCrispityTreats and GooeyBetterCake from KickBassVapor after watching a video on YouTube lol! I ordered extra flavor and extra strong
nicotine, with maximum PG ratio (more throat hit than a lot of VG). When I got my juice, I added a bit of VG to cut the nic content a bit (I did this to save money as 36mg is a bit strong).

The result:
I alternate different ecigs, and never go out with less than 3 (usually my Provari, VV Box Mod and VV eGo).

However, my absolute favorite was the CHEAPEST PV of them all. My VV Box Mod from MadVapes! The combination of a good strong juice, a LR cartomizer and the VV is just 100% perfect for me. I can amp it up or down as I need, but honestly haven't even touched the little wheel since the first week. From my very first puff/vape I knew I would NEVER
ever go back to smoking tobacco. It has enough TH, flavor and vapor to knock my socks off and make me quite dizzy if I
go bananas lol. I will never go back to atomizers! LR Cartomizers , VV and a good juice are the way to go if you need TH and mega, mega satisfaction.

I still like my Provari a lot - but LOVE, love, love my VV BoxMod!

P.S My last comment may be verboten here as there are many Provari lovers and fanboys here, but who cares. It is my own opinion.
P.P.S. I totally agree with sweets on inhalation method. Spot on!

Save yourself trouble and money. Buy a madvapes 5v box and their 2.0 dual coil clear cartos. Also get AW IMR 14500 batts. Instant TH. Else, if you don't mind dripping, you can use an 801 atty. Good TH and flavor. I smoked 3 pad and this method has worked wonders for me.

All the best!

P.S. The batteries above are important. If you get the trustfires, the Dual coil carto will most probably trip the protection circuit and that's very frustrating.

There are thousands of people who vape 36mg eliquid with no problems at all. This is just scare talk. Considering we all are mostly long time ex-smokers, if that is what it takes to stay away from smoking, it's a good thing.

I have to strongly agree here. I'm still fighting the urge to smoke & gaining ground, but didn't really begin the fight in earnest until about a week ago. Until then I vaped most of the time but allowed myself a smoke when the urge was upon me, which fortunately wasn't too often. When I decided to put up a fight I started mixing all my juice around 3.5% nic and it's been getting a lot easier... and no ill effects so far. It'll take what it takes to get where we're going so the real question for me is, how bad do I want to go? I think I'm fixin' to find out. Happy Vapin', folks! :D
