it is really very simple. You get a digital scale from amazon that goes down to .01 gram in sensitivity w/tare function. and you just measure them by weight. Ejuicemeup calculator has measure by weight. It makes complex recipes really easy to mix. and simple recipes as well. No syringes or beakers or anyting really. Just tare your bottle on the scale and go.
VG= 1.26 grams per ml
PG =1.03
nic in 100% VG weighs 1.23 ( the weights of other pg vg ratios are posted somewhere on this site)
Most flavorings are right around 1.03 grams so the slight variances in specific gravity don't matter for my purposes. to keep it simple for me I just measure flavors at an even 1 gram.
Alcohol based flavorings are different but I don't care for them so this is a non-issue for me. even those can be figured out. I think they are around .9 grams or there abouts.

Stick with the ml measurements for now Clo. There is another method to make juice by weight (instead of by volume in ml). 90% of mixers use the ml method. People who mix by weight don't want to mess with syringes. There's been a bunch of heated discussions about which is best. You're doing fine the way you are.
I made a 40/60 3mg nic blend in a 10mL bottle. The flavors I bought said to do 10% flavoring and it was right cause they are potent. So the 1 mL of flavoring I did a 4 parts ripe strawberry and 1 part menthol. Or 0.8 mL ripe strawberry and 0.2 mL menthol.
I'll have to make it for her this weekend...My girls have been coming up with "blends" all week when they saw what flavors I ordered lol (I guess it's one way to keep artistic teenagers busy)....And I already need a bigger lock box!
I bet they will come up with some good stuff. I'm pretty plain with most of the flavors I have ever liked best. So I doubt I get into too much complex stuff. I think my top two have always been strawberry menthol and a banana cream.. But strawberry cream has always been right up there too. But, I'm throwing this lemon I bought into something and playing around with it. I was thinking Cremonberry (creamy lemon berry) (yeah sometimes I think I'm clever with names lol). Have your teenagers make crazy cool names for your blends too!!!! Lol

I know!!!!! I'm already ready to try making some new flavors. But have happily enjoyed my strawberry menthol the last few days. But I would hate for my tastebuds to get bored. Lol
Well for what it's worth, I tried the 10ml test batches and using drops to measure back when I started, and I found that the results were just not consistent. So I went straight to 100 ml batches. Yes, I know, you don't want to risk messing up that much juice, but whatever happens you can still adjust it and vape it. I got very good results right away.
I want to recommend using laboratory glassware, especially a graduated cylinder. Measured milliliters has it all over drops. A 50 ml graduated cylinder is a good thing to start with and I've been using one for a year and a half now.
Sorry I didn't read all the pages but, how do you like NicVape? Im thinking about ordering from them.. Did you get the starter kit or buy everything separately?
So let's get into another discussion which I don't want to rile anyone up, but let's say some regulations happen in the near future. For the purposes of what I need to stock up on, would it just be the nicotine that would likely be harder to get a hold of for DIY or would everything be hard to get a hold of? I plan to buy a bigger amount of Nic next time and glass bottles and freeze it so I have a decent amount for future use. But it sounds like flavoring doesn't keep as long, and since PG and VG are used for so many other things, I'm wondering if I even need to worry about stocking up on the last three things. Just planning ahead for the future. Stuff I can continue to purchase pretty fresh, I'd rather not stock up on. Stuff that may become harder to get a hold of will be what I want to stock up on. But, I ask because I know I'm not super up to date on all things that may happen in the near future.
So far I can't complain. The flavors are concentrated and you don't need to use a ton of it. I have not received my cream and lemon flavor yet (should get that tomorrow) but the ripe strawberry and Cool (menthol) are quite good in my opinion. Everything is packaged nicely, they put batch numbers on everything so you can see the lab testing results which I do really like. I did find on Heartlandvapes a lot of the flavors have COA's too and they state whether there is a percentage of DA/AP Acetoin, etc. and they had a lot of flavors that NicVape didn't have. I bought bottles and measuring supplies separate. Wasn't sure I needed everything in the kit.
