Don't know how much you're going to be spending buying everything seperately, but I've found it's cheaper to buy a starter kit myself. I'll provide a link, and you can see whether it's cost effective for you or not. It has everything you need except juice, and that includes two batteries.

this actually looks like a great option, i can get a 650 and a 1000 at the same time and it comes with the charger and a case so this could really work for me thanks for the link! :)

I agree a second battery unless you already have a backup. I suggest a few cheap cartos just in case you have any trouble with the vivi.
I agree. You need 2 batteries + cartomizers.
Cartomizers are easier for newbies. No leaks no cracks no burning. I can get a cartomizer to last me 5-7 days. They come in a 5-pack for about $7.

My starter kit didn't have a case, and batteries were only 360mAh. I was dubious as to whether I'd even like ecigs, so I went the cheap route. In hindsight, this kit (with the 650 & 1000 batteries) would have been a great choice. Sometimes you'll want a longer lasting battery, other times you'll want a smaller more convenient size battery. And Kay1959's link was for a Twist kit, so you can start with the standard voltage and stay there for a start, and venture (or not) into the higher voltages later. This kit is on my short list for purchase as a backup.

Especially on your first order go small and varied on the liquids. 5 ml only sample sizes, in both PG and VG, at 3 different nic levels. (That would be six 5 ml samplers.) The far more difficult part of this process is figuring out what nic level(s) you need, your likes and dislikes regarding PG versus VG liquids and flavors, and more importantly and seriously - if you have any sensitivities to either PG or VG as your base liquid. Hopefully not, but there is nothing worse for a noob to do than lay out a pile of $$$ on liquids that turn out to be something you can't vape or don't want to vape.

Out of the six samples, find one or two you like, adjust your nic level if needed, and get those in bigger sizes on your next order while throwing in a couple more samplers to try. Build your liquids from there.

I currently have 14 different ejuices in my stash. Only 2 I feel are worth ordering more than 10ml at a time (can't see myself vaping Brandy or Amaretto all day, but in the evening, its sometimes nice) That's for my taste. Your tastes will be different.

I don't know what others have suggested as I haven't read all the replies, but I def recommend you have a second or third battery, whether it be a twist or other wise. I actually think you should have a 2 batt kit first and foremost and then get a twist batt. and you should get LR cartos to start on/have a back up, cuz the Vivi Nova 2.5 and the Mini Vivi Nova have been nothing but problematic for me, no matter how well i wanted them to work, they just don't. Cartos and tanks are the way that worked for me, and what I have gone back to when things fail. Tanks out there can be bought for cheap. The Mini Sub Tank from momamdpopvaporshop.com is like 10 bucks, and it's a great tank. I have been almost 3 months off analogs, and I have ordered 4 kits for friends as they were clueless, and I got everyone kits and cartos and juice for under $100, this all lasted them at least a month. They are all smoke free now. I am very proud and glad I have helped everyone, and this is the place to go for information for sure.. I will say it again, the Vivi's are not for someone new that needs to really depend on their devise to be there for them.

the link that kay1959 posted which is a twist kit comes with a 650mah and a 1000mah, 2 vision clearomizers , charger, case, etc. also picking up a set of 5 regular boge LR 2.0ohm stainless steel 510 catros.

also going to pick up 2 sampler packs of juice from heathers 4 samples each at i think 3ml. would that be everything i need to get started?

Here is the kit I would recommend to anyone just starting: https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-egc-all.htm
You can get either the 650 twist or the 650 upgrade. I would recommend one of each. I have been using this for months and have never had any problems with them leaking but I do use a syringe to fill them.

Highly second the recommendation for Cignot and a kit of any type. Cignot only sells quality JoyeTech stuff and Vicki will answer any and all pre and post sales questions you have very quickly. (I swear that woman never sleeps.) She is a great hand holder for newbies and provides fast shipping and excellent customer service.

Also, Cignot carries a very broad line of flavors in sample sizes.

I ordered my first - and second - kit from Cignot and never regretted it. Great vendor to start out with.
