Allllllright! So my two year vape anniversary is coming up on the 11th. I own a lavatube, box mod, and some other random lesser PVs, egos, etc. I have wanted a top end, high quality mod for a long time (specifically a Provari!) but due to the high cost I never felt it was worth it. I got to thinking about all the money i've saved in two years and decided it was finally time I captured my holy grail.

So today I pulled the trigger on a white V2, with 2 18490's, an extension cap and 2 18650's. :vapor::2cool::drool::w00t:

Sorry, anyways. I am uber excited obviously, and especially since by DID clone will be here monday I assume my lavatube/phoenix will be taking the backseat. I was torn between black, blue and white, but the black was too similar to my LT, the blue looked kind of light and girly in a lot of pictures, darker and awesome in others and I wasn't quite sure. The picture of the white provari w/ the blue LED in the provari color pics thread sold me instantly, so THANK YOU wasabi5858!! I can't wait for it to come! Plus I figured white would look good with all of my drip tips, atty's, tanks, yada yada....

So I was reading the user manual on the Provape site, and I noticed it seemed to be the V1 manual, said nothing that I saw about the V2. It stated that aside from using the menu to toggle on and off, you can press the button 9 times for the same effect. Is this still true of the V2? At work I have VERY limited time to vape most of the time(as in, quickly take a few toots and get back to work kind of deal) and although it may not sound like a huge difference, having this ego-like rapid click on/off would be a great feature for me. Even if it doesn't have it I am still pumped obviously, but I was curious.

Thanks for reading my life story, haha.

Gratz! 9 presses gets you to the on/off portion of the menu. It only turns off via that option, not by 9 taps.

I too never turn mine off :)

Thanks for the quick responses guys. Yeah, I have a lot of junk in my pockets at work(keys, wallet, cell, juice, PV, extra atty, chapstick and pen! hah!) and have a busy job so if I leave it on I will probably ruin attys, waste juice, be smoking from my pockets drawing VERY suspicious looks! I'm SOO EXCITED!!!! And I don't wanna hide it!

Good choice! I could have purchased other things, but I knew I would eventually end up with this, so I decided not to waste my money. I've only had it for a couple weeks and I absolutely love it. I picked up a ZAP the other day and it should be here on monday. I can't wait! tell me what you think of the DID clones. I would like to pick up a couple as backups.

I will post a review after a few days of playing with it. I'm good at fiddling with things so it shouldn't be much of a problem. I was thinking about buying some SS mesh for my Phoenix but I figured i'd just try out a real genesis style, and since I ordered several extra sheets of mesh I can experiment with that too!

The DID 'clone' (not really the same size as the regular or the mini - about half way between) is a rockin' vape! It's easy to set up - well, as easy as any other genesis type tank/atty.

The draw, for me, is just right - not too airy, not too tight. It was an inexpensive way for me to try out a genesis atty without resorting to making one of those .......ized homebrew jobs.

The only "negatives" I could claim are that the screws are kind of small, and - depending on the individual item - the air hole doesn't always line up with the wick when tightened down completely (but it has an o-ring so you can just back the top up until it does align).

If I'm ever rolling in dough, I might spring for the real thing... or a ZAP. I just don't see that happening until the kids are out of the house - and that's at least 7 more years. LoL

Yeah I already grabbed an o-ring off a DCT I never use anymore to put on the threads if the air hole doesn't line up properly, which is exactly what I had to do with my phoenix. The Phoenix was NASTY when I first tried using it, and I am SOOOO glad I found that tip out. I'm still not happy with it due to the constant post pulling(pushing really on this) and other random problems that shouldn't be a prob with a genesis, but when it's on, it's ON!

Congrats, and may I ask how did you get your DID? Ive been looking and I cant see any for sale at the official site and the co-op here was over with a while ago.

Don't know how to post the link but there's a huge supplier thread on the DID-"New Genesis Type Atomizer something something". If you do a search on here you'll find the thread. The official site has been out of commission the last couple days I believe. The owner is switching site names and is having issues. If you look on the thread he gave the new name. Can't recall it exactly at the moment.

If this is directed to me, I didn't order the DID, I ordered the DID clone from Discount Vapers, for $25 it was definitely more in my price range for a first time genesis user! Stormys Vapor Cellar and Mountain Oak Vapers also sell them.

Also, if you want to try one out, hurry up and get one from Discount Vapers, it's much cheaper there than any other site i've seen, and he only has 41 left, when I ordered mine thursday he had 126, and the day before he had like 350ish. Most of the people I think that had been waiting to get one from there probably all got theirs that first day or so he had them back in stock, and the flow of people ordering them has slowed a lot, but theres still a few less every hour you wait...

I'm sure I will. I like my Lavatube, it's just an inferior build quality to the Provari and doesn't hold voltage well at all once the battery starts draining. Plus the Provari has resistance checking, a higher amp limit, can use 18490's AND 18650's, and looks amazingly beautiful! Much more so than the Lavatube, obviously. I can't wait!!!

I just kept passing on all the LT variants due to reported issues. I made do with my MV vv box mod & my Twists, until I was fairly ahead (compared to cig costs) then I went ProVari. Have been so happy ever since.

Even more so since DV offered the DiD "clone" Genesis-style tank. OMG! I can actually taste my juice. 8-o \/\/o0+!!
