I have an auto 901 usb pass thru & was just wondering if it is OK to leave plugged into computer?
I have it going thru a hub which is on a very short leash so every time I go to use mu pass thru, I have to crawl under my desk....

Have heard a couple stories where people leave pass thrus plugged in, come back & it's piping hot.

OK to leave it plugged in at all times if I take the atty off?

IF I were you.... I'd unplug it.

I also have waaaay too much plugged into my usb hub but I got nervous after reading some too-hot stories. This is my first pass thru, it just looks kind of cheap but I LOVE the way it hits thru the computer. I don't even want a cig and sitting in front of the computer was always my chain smoking seat in the house.

Ah, it looks like everyone is split down the middle. I may just hassle with unplugging/plugging it in every time till I get a big hub that can sit on the desk. Better safe than sorry I suppose.

It may be my twelve dollar hub, but I have noticed that when *everything* is plugged in & being used, the pass thru hits like an old battery. When I have just the pass thru & the printer plugged in, it hits like a bonefied pipe! I almost get light headed. Maybe it's just me....

Why's everyone afraid to plug stuff into their comp? I have 8 different things plugged into my comp thru usb at all times. Never had a problem. It's kinda why they're there. ?????

I'll just say that I qualified my advice with 'IF I were her...." that doesn't say what I would do myself.
