so far, I haven't gotten that from anyone but then again - we live way out in the sticks and rarely see anyone that would give us crap even about the analogs. I really have no plans to quit vaping - hubby only vapes occasionally - not sure why it was so much easier to get off the nic than it is for me but he was an odd smoker.. could go days without a cig.. then chain a couple packs in a day.

btw.. I love the bacon flavor - even have it from 3 vendors and none make me unhappy.

sigh... it's on my "to buy" list but keep forgetting to order. Must order some. Seems all the shiny new toys keep getting in the way. Have you seen any egg nog vapes? Would love to try for the holidays.

I know my story is quite different from most. I had been a half a day or less smoker for about 30 years. I quit now and then and for the last 10 or 20 had cut down to 4-8 a day. But I really liked those 4-8. And my throat hurt all the time and my breath smelled like rotting lungs and because of my social circle I had to pretty much hide it all the time. My wife knew about it and helped me hide it but really didn't like it. The worst part was "would our kids please go back home so I can have my smoke" feeling over and over. Four years ago I quit once and for all. Seriously, not a drag in four years. I know that if I had one more cig I'd start smoking again, it happened too many times. I heard about vaping somehow, maybe a youtube video I happened upon? And I had this idea, I wonder if I can vape with 0 nic and have quite a lot of the fun of smoking without the bad? Hung out on this forum for a few days and someone offered me a few volt batts, and I bought some 0 nic cartos, and just gave it a try. So I sit up here in my office vaping on and off all day. I don't think my wife knows I do it, though she must wonder what that odd smell is (cherry vapor). Or not. Eventually I'll have to tell her but I suspect she'll be grouchy about it, I really don't know what her reaction will be, so I'm putting off the conversation probably until I get busted. But at this point I'm super enjoying it, 0 nic and 0 throat hit but wonderful clouds of non-stinky vapor. The next step is to find some way of getting really cheap small samples of various 0 nic flavors to find out what is worth buying - harder to come by than you might think. Another thing that is great with 0 nic vaping is I can go all day without vaping and not get all stressed out - but I actually have heard that nicotine is good for the brain - not sure if that is big tobacco propaganda though - so maybe some 6mg juice? But I don't want to feel like I "have" to vape because of the nic, so still swinging towards to 0 nic side for now.

Congratulations! You stopped smoking and stayed off of cigarettes for 4 years... and you did it the hard way! Since you started vaping with 0 nic, I wouldn't advise you to put ANY nicotine back into your body. I don't think you will have any problems finding liquids without nicotine. One day I hope to be able to say the same.

Also, you need to let your wife know. Be honest about it. Nothing good will come from hiding it from her. She may be upset but face up to it and give her as much information about ecigarettes and vaping as you can. Best of luck to you.

Ya know......I would think 0 nic would be the easiest to DIY. All those flavors you can get pretty cheap and then just mix with VG and distilled water. Wouldn't that work?

Oh and of course you should tell your Wife!!! Hiding things is the best way to lose trust in a relationship. Show her the respect of being honest.

Thanks for the suggestion. Ordered this and also trying buttery nipple because I love butterscotch. Also, I'm trying 50/50 for the first time. Have you tried this? Also, I got 40% off! Love it!

Yeah that 40% is awesome, too bad it only works once. :( I have buttery nipple too and it's good but too sweet for me, but then again a lot of juice out there I consider too sweet. I haven't tried the 50/50 yet but I do have a bottle of Pumpkin Pie 50/50 that I haven't tried yet. I usually get 70/30 blends.

I agree with the other posters. If you don't have to, don't add any nicotine. Nicotine has shown to decrease alzheimer's in a recent study but that's something for us nicotine addicts to feel good about than anything else. Nicotine is just one of those things that I would place with caffeine. It's not necessarily bad for you but it's not good for you either depending on what day you catch the news. :p However, many people don't realize that there is nicotine in foods that we eat like tomatoes, potatoes and eggplants. Not as much as tobacco, but it's there.

Regarding your wife, maybe you can tell her this: " Well Honey, I've been having these cravings again to smoke. But don't worry, I'm going to do my best not to and picked up this nifty little gadget that vaporizes flavored water!"
Just my 2 cents. :)

Glad these are sweet vapes. That's why I wanted to try these. I have a tendency to eat too many sweets around the holidays and this way I won't be adding calories or to my waistline... or can you get fat from vaping sweet vapes?

Sometimes I get people asking and I still get looks. However, at Thanksgiving, I got the biggest kudos I could have ever asked for - My dad telling me how proud he is of me that I stopped smoking, and maybe I could get my brother to pick up the Volt instead of a tobacco cigarette, too. The looks don't matter. The other comments don't matter. The person who told me their doctor said not to use ecigs because they aren't good for the heart (!) doesn't matter. My dad matters. He knows I'm still getting nicotine (I went back to 12mg, I realized I did still need the nicotine). However, he was a smokejumper. He KNOWS firsthand what smoke can do to a person's lungs and health - without smoking. So would any firefighter, I would imagine. He also lost my mom to cancer. So, hey. No better affirmation is out there that I could receive. So, screw the comments, the looks. I'm smiling. I'm alive. I'm going to stay that way. I've always said I'm going to live to 120, anyway. So, there.

Just put in my holiday order to SI.

love y'all.

That's wonderful Kia that you have your father's support and encouragement! :thumb:

My mom still doesn't understand. My 3-month anniversary was yesterday and her response was "So will it be another 3 months before you stop doing that?" It doesn't even matter to her that I have cut my nicotine level down from 24mg to 12mg. My husband is supportive and happy for me though. His only complaint is spending so much on vape supplies. I will cut back on buying after taking advantage of SI's Christmas sale.
