Bristow, Ok.
Today I was looking at my pile of old attys. I popped on a BE112 that I used all the time before I got my HV attys. I put 2, 3.7 batteries in my transformer and I have been vaping all day with it. This atty was ready to be pitched I thought. The flavor is good and I am still using it at 7.4 I am amazed. I wonder if any of my other old attys will do that.

You might try checking the resistance on those old atties. When they start to go bad the resistance builds up and they will work at higher voltages for a bit. I think it has to do with the buildup of stuff on the coil.

I didn't check them but I am sure that is what it is but this one is working great right now. I feel like I got a free atty. :):):)

I did the same yesterday with 2 old and very very weak 510 atomizers with which i had previously tried all kind of cleaning methods including the ultrasonic cleaning process...And I almost subjected them to the positronic neutron bombardment...

After few 7.2V massages...they worked again like a charm.

Good one mist... this made me :lol::lol::lol:

Some of my atties had a resistance of 150 ohm!!! I made the classic trick of putting 10 GGs together to smoke at about 70 volts to clean it. The resistance went to 19 ohm but it couldnt go lower. I kept smoking those atties for 1 day to see what will happen. The resistance remained to 19 ohm. Then they got dead
