I bought my first IBTanked almost a year ago, and have been hooked ever since.

Where I have difficulty is the popularity of RBAs, especially on mechs. I just got a brass Turtleship, along with a special edition brass tube. The IBTanked Old Gold caps and IBTipsy match really well. However, I feel like I should go get a brass rba for it, at over $100. I am trying hard to get over it, and just go with what I already have.

As much as I enjoy tinkering with my rebuildables, when I'm working my 12 hour shifts I have a 96 hour period of time when I haven't got the time or energy to sort out vaping issues, wrap new coils, wash out tanks etc. I have to have something that I can pick up and vape with zero maintenance, which will work flawlessly every single time, with no flooding issues or problems whatsoever, and whatever solution that would be, it would have to perform really well, with outstanding flavour and vapour production. It would have to be transportable, with the risk that it might end up upside down in my bag with zero leaks,

And so I'm a cartotank-aholic too. I can get a cartomiser to last me a fortnight now, and yeah there was a learnning curve to go through with how best to punch them and how best to prime them, but once you've learned that really it's all plain sailing with them. My cartotanks outperform any other non-rebuildable atomiser I've ever tried. I only ever tried a cartrotank as an experiment to see what all the fuss was about, and never looked back. In fact, if I have an e-liquid that I particularly prize, I will put it through the cartotank as a preference to any other of my atomisers. That says enough about how highly I regard them

Fairly new vaper here, still using Innokin 3.7V and T3S or IClear 16. I am buying my first VV mod soon and I can't wait to start using cartotanks. All the guys around have awesome equipmunk and I'm ready to upgrade mine, but I really don't think all-mechanical mods and building sub-ohm coils and all that nonsense is for me. I'm like a lot of you I guess, I just want my stuff to work consistently. And I've had pretty good luck with my stuff so far, over 2 months since I quit smoking and started vaping. I will soon be a member of the cartotank community, and it looks just fine.

You'll love it. The flavor is better than any clearomizer and close to a dripper.

Mech-mods and sub-ohm coils have their place for someone who wants a crapload of vapor but if you're in it to quit smoking then a good consistent setup is the way to go. The cartotank and a nice variable voltage/wattage mod will take you far.

Just make sure you prime the carto well before you fill the tank. They are not forgiving if they burn. If you prime it well you can keep re-filling your tank hassle free. I tend to change flavors in the tank so I'll take the carto out and put in a new one for a different flavor and put the condoms back on the old one and mark them with a sharpie to designate what flavor was in it.

Vape on bro :vapor:

Just got my first IBTanked tanks today.

I have some RBA's and RDA's on the way, so I can't really compare to those yet, but as compared to the clearo's I've been stuck on, these tanks ROCK!

I tried the cheap UDCT and the really really cheap plastic DCT before this, and swore off cartotanks because of the bad experiences. A month or so ago, someone suggested that all the flooding I kept having problems with may have been due to the cheap quality of the sealing and loose fitting o-rings. Boy were they right!

Vaping happily on a 22mm XL IBTanked with a LR Ikenvape 2 hole carto. Similar vapor and TH to the way my clearos could operate at their best, with better flavor - and much better total capacity.

Those RBA's will have to be really, really impressive to beat this!

This thread is getting a little dusty so I'll bump it back up. Glad you liked your IBTanked Dzaw. Luckily I avoided all of the cheapo tanks and went straight to the quality. It's really been the most consistent vape experience for me. I haven't had one flood or dry hit from it.

susieq60002 - take that $100 and buy 3 more cartotanks. That's what I'd do. Get one of the cool painted ones. I'm still swapping cartos out for different flavors and waiting for the point where I can grab a couple more tanks to keep filled. Still using the clearos on ocassion when I want to switch up real quick.

I've been looking at the sophia since someone suggested it on this thread and it looks pretty cool. It's basically a rebuildable cartomizer with an airflow and juice flow control built in. It's upwards of an RBA in price but looks like an interesting way to mix the cartotank and rebuildable worlds into one.

I ordered a brass top cap for my RSST for the Turtleship. Much cheaper for the occasional use it will get. As for carto tanks, I have a dozen or so already, and the collection will continue to grow over time. :)

I'm a modder with 3 years of vaping next month. I remember going to Home Depot for different plumbing parts to be able to make end caps for my own tanks. I own the original MAP tank. I made the inspiration for the SS sleeve window for the Who's Your Daddy tank. I love my 2ohm catros in a tank with a Kick @~9.5 on a mechanical.

I build mods and parts at home. It's in my nature. I rely on a Zmax-controlled bottomfeeder with modified RDA mostly, but find myself grabbing a carto tank daily.

The flavor and vapor is always consistent. I'm a carto tank afficionado. Don't judge me. :vapor:
