I dismantled my omega v.1 to clean. On inspection, the o ring used on the very small screw that atomisers sit flush on to, had worn away.
I now have a correct sized o ring to fit and replace.
But I cant seem to get the screw back into the top of the omega ... It just keeps falling out.
Do you need to attach o ring on to the screw first?
I've been on half an hour with no success so thought I'd ask fir correct method advice.

Thanks.

I'm having a hard time visualizing what your describing..

I have the 1.1 that uses a 5/16th deep well to take the top cap half's apart...with a spring.

The center pin post “pin” that looks like a small finish nail with a clear O ring on top is what I think your describing.

IF so, I put it into the hole..press it down with the o ring under the head of it..between the cap and the head, as best I can with my fat fingers, and then use a cart and screw it into place...to seat the pin. I then LEAVE the cart on and reassemble the cap half's and spring underneath it.

BTW I lost my little clear O ring and went to Ace hardware and found a small rubber O ring in the plumbing section that worked great.

Thanks for advice, i have used the contact form on the altsmoke website.

On the V.1 omega, (not sure if its same on the 1.1), there's a tiny screw (7mm length) which fits into the hole in the top cap, once in place, the atomiser sits flush onto this. The O ring on mine was totally worn away, and it fell out. This part is not mentioned in the V.1 how to video.

Trying to get it back in with a new o ring? It just keeps falling out. Tried every method I can think of. Hoping altsmoke have a solution.

The insulator piece around the positive pin may have looked like an o-ring when it came out because it was sliced by pressure over time. It's actually got a sleeve portion that wraps around the shaft, which also keeps it fitting snugly. Sort of like an upside down top hat. It's important to use that type of insulator, not an o-ring, to stop the pin sides from contacting the outer shell of the connector to prevent shorts.

I don't know if they're checking their service tickets over the weekend, but I know they'll take care of you. If you need to send it to them they will fix it inexpensively and get it back to you pronto. I sent my V1 Omega in last Thursday and they put it in the mail back to me Saturday!

Yes when i said O ring, i should have said insulator, as Toby from Ivapour sent me a few to replace the battered old one.

Chad's advice was spot on, lube it with eliquid and press it down into the hole using a blunt instrument. I finally got it in, and it's working a treat, Omega back to new again, result!

:) Glad you got him going again. The ticket system can be faster to get a responce it goes to my email and I get the alert. I spend a lot of my time in my shop without forum access (by choice) LOL
I would not get anything done!
