I was thinking about this but I'm not sure if anyone else had, can this clean atomizers...

IMO, it's not worthwhile getting one specifically for cleaning atties. I occasionally throw a couple of half-dead ones in for ten minutes in hot water, but don't find the method any better than rinsing with hot water and doing a dry burn.

Glad to hear from some who have tried it. Noting that not all ultrasonic cleaners are created equal: some have more powerful transducers and have built in heaters, and various duty cycles & programming. In that I've got other potential uses for one, I'd consider one with more pep. And, if it works with atomizers, that would be gravy.

Watching for others who have tried it.

Mine is heated and can set from 90-490 seconds the attys dance around and out will take the paint off but dry burning has killed every atty i've tried it with seems to melt the plastic washer under the ceramic cup the coil sits in clogs up the atty and tastes like burning plastic. I have also had the center contact stick on attys lifting it up so it protrudes past the threaded part of the addy solves that issue.

I actually killed an atty on a bowl of water on an induction heater. I think the induction waves got to it.
I think I will go to atty hell for that.

So, does the ultrasonic do the trick for your atomizers?

I'm not concerned about it removing the paint.

I just cleaned mine in hot water and put in the oven at 250 for an hour to dry. Incredible. Plumes of vapor! My guess is the cleaners would work - but why bother if hot water works? It makes it just another gadget to collect dust.

hmmm - maybe so. I just vape the same thing - or similar things most of the time. If you change flavors a lot I guess you need clean attys. I HATE dust collectors and gadgets other than my food processor and Vitamix blender. the other stuff just ends up in the basement collecting dust.

I agree.... at this moment since I am fairly new to this I have only found 3 out of 20 or more flavors to be my favorite. So instead of using new atomizers for testing different flavors I would like to clean them.

I had my first atty last almost 3 weeks then I tried a dry burn and poof bad tasting and dead within 3 hours I used the ultrasonic cleaner and alcohol soaks every couple of days for the first 3 weeks had read about dry burns figured I would try got a slb lr atty vaped on it 2 days attempted a dry burn and poof dead atty so I will not be dry burning any time soon but if it works for you... I have a joye 510 that I am using now have been using the atty since thursday and haven't felt the need to clean it yet just blow it out I have rinsed it in warm running water I blow as much water out as possiable ( compressed air) add juice and vape away. Will probably soak for 5 minutes in iso alcohol and put in the cleaner tonight I have only been vaping about 4-5 weeks so I am newish and trying to learn too

Truthfully, that's one of the things about it which appeals to me. If I weren't a gadget freak, I would most likey not have quit smoking more than nine months ago. Quitting was an accident. I bought my first PV as a curiosity, an interesting gadget.

I'm still in the data collecting stage, and wanting to see more feedback from people who have used them to clean atomizers. But, as I mentioned earlier, I have other possible uses for one too, and that fact leans in its favor.

I have a cheapy that I bought of eBay for about $6 with shipping. I fill it with white vinegar and leave it run for about an hour. Rinse with water then let them dry overnight. Quick dry burn and they work as if they are new. I hope this helps. I can't see spending a ton of money on an expensive one. This one does just fine. Came from China but doesn't everything nowadays. Being inexpensive leaves me some money to spend on "goodies". LOL.

I also clean my CE-2's in it. Doesn't vibrate hard enough to break anything.

Like NCC said, there's a HUGE difference in ultrasonic cleaners...depending on the power and features. I have a Branson 1510 but would never buy it just for atomizer cleaning. The 35 buck model you found will knock off whatever is loose or maybe loosen up deposits. It might work; it might not. Obviously, it's a very low powered unit.

Well I decided to buy one.. after reading that they can also clean CD's i'm there. My kids have numerous movies with fingerprints all over them it would be a good way to clean them. Now I can justify spending the money and telling the wife. Oh, i also told her she can clean her rings..... hehehe ) But I will definitely let everyone know how I make out..... Thanks A
