Hello fellow vapers. I now considered myself on of you! I just received my eGO and have had my first taste of real juice. I feel like I've just went through some strange rite of passage. I will not go back to regular cigarettes. Why would anyone want to after trying this? I've smoked for 49 years and never had any intention of quitting but I can certainly see myself as tobacco free from this minute on. I am very excited and my only hope is that I don't vape myself into a coma! lol Any advice on how to take it easy until I settle down would be appreciated.

Woo Hoo! Yipee! and all sorts of stuff like that!

Congratulations! I had the same experience when I found this. Better to vape your brains out and kill those cravings to start, just watch for dizziness and headaches to know you need a break. I started at 24mg liquid for the first few months, then was able to comfortably scale back to 18 and now I'm at 12. As long as you're not smoking you're doing great!

I am in the same boat. I smoked 48 yrs and have been vaping for a year now. Finding e-cigs is one of the best things I have ever done. Never even expected it to work but was I ever surprised. I can pretty much say that if I'm awake I'm vaping. Another benefit is I haven't so much as had a cold since the 3rd week of quitting.

Great feeling, right?? :D I am constantly telling my smoking friends (who know what a chain smoker I was at times) how easy it is once you start vaping. It's all about taking that first leap! Initially I just wanted my simple Ego-C and some high-nic menthol juice. Now I'm finding myself interested in an upgrade and shopping around for more flavors. It's fun :vapor:

I must admit now all I can think about is the next order of juice to try and some more ecigs in different styles. Oh my, my it seems I want it all! I am going to be so very broke! I will say not only is it a great solution to getting off tobacco but it's fun! I can finally relate to all the posts I've been reading.

It's a totally great feeling, isn't it?? You made me remember my first vape. :) Finally, something may just work! As for finding other gear, read a lot and check out what people are talking about. This is great place to learn. ;) If you have questions, just ask away. Someone has probably dealt with whatever you have a question about.

Welcome and congrats!! :D

CONGRATULATIONS Sonso!! :thumbs:It's great to hear you're so happy. Anything you can do to stay off analogs is awesome!

As for advice.... Don't worry about it. Just vape and enjoy. You'll soon settle in to your own pace. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated because the PG in your juice (if you're using PG based juice) is hygroscopic. It will absorb some water from your body so keep that in mind.

If you like your eGo you might want to try an eGo-T Mod next. It has the same Ego connection you're used to and it's an easy next step. You get two voltage settings and you get much longer battery life with a rechargeable 18650 battery. If you want to play around with some variable voltage mods I would suggest the Lava Tube or Lambo or VAMO. And of course, if you are able to spend the extra money and want to take things to the next level you could just go with the Provari which has a rock solid reputation, is absolutely top quality and made right here in the good old USA. Many choices and lots of help here on the forum.

Good Luck and Happy Vaping!:2cool:

It's pretty amazing, isn't it?! I am relatively new to this world as well. I definitely have way more juice than I need given how much I vape. But it's so dang good!!

What I have found helps me to not have the nicotine jitters is when I know I have had enough nicotine I use some non-nic juice to top off my cartridge. I usually use a super sweet flavor too (like Banapple by RAWR). I get lots of vapor from it and not all the nicotine. I find it is very satisfying. Especially for the late night vapes when I know I need to go to sleep eventually.

Of course, your mileage may vary. You will find what works for you. You will know when you have had too much. And, like someone else said, be sure to drink water.

Welcome!:)

I'm new here myself and know exactly what you mean. Vaping is awesome!! I have been analog free for 19 days (after smoking 25+ years) and have no intention of turning back either. I have spent a small fortune in the past 19 days and purchased a number of different ecigs and the goodies to go with them. I think I am finally ready to stop spending (for a bit :D) and start recouping some of the cash saved by not purchasing analogs.

Have fun and enjoy!!:)

Whew I am so jazzed. Thanks for all your support and replies. I do have a question though. I have not mentioned one thing about this to my children ( all adults ) who I must say have been on me about my smoking forever. When I tell them about vaping are they going to be a bunch of downers? In other words will they think I'm still a smoker? None of them, thank goodness have ever smoked so they don't have a clue as to what it really is. Will they assume vaping is something you might do out of a small paper bag in the basement? lol What a good way to introduce them to the idea?

My adult son and daughter, husband, family, and friends have all been very supportive. Just explain to them what vaping is. They can also do a little research for better understanding. I think that you will find that they are very excited that you have taken this most important step towards a healthier way of life.

Good luck!:)

Congrats Sonso, and best of luck on continuing to be smoke free, I quit 1 month ago today and feel great about it. You have an excellent support group here should you have any trouble and need help.

Everyone in my life has been very supportive. My wife thinks I may be getting a bit obsessed, but I'm an obsessive person.

I'd recommend visiting the CASAA website, there's material there you can print out that helps to explain the concept of Tobacco Harm Reduction and why you're much better off as a vaper than as a smoker. If that's not enough to convince anyone with doubts you can suggest they check out this forum and voice their questions or concerns here.
