So, after confiscating my friend's other EGO T battery from her kit (still waiting for my kit from China) and spending last night in vaping heaven with my little mini vivi nova, I am SOOOOOOO happy. My stupid blu is i the drawer and I anxiously await my kit, my carto-tanks and my other battery (900 mah twist-pink) to arrive. Awaiting my juice from Fuzion, but happy to vape the juice I already have...

I do not think I could have started with a bigger battery; my mind was set on a cig alike, and by GOSH, I was going to make it work...
Now, I get why people want better, more and BIGGER.

Thanks to all the people on ECF who inspired me to stick with it. More than 6 weeks of NO analogues and I am thrilled! No smelly stinkies, no HOLES, no ashes, no dirty looks.

LOVE,
Michelle

Can you explain what opened your eyes? I started vaping about 3 weeks ago with a cig-a-like (Joyetech eRoll); I'm loving it, and I see no reason to switch to a unit with a bigger battery. Can someone explain to me why most vapers discard cig-a-likes and move on to bigger units?

For me it's control and ability. All juices taste different at diff voltages. I also have the ability to use whatever attachment I want!

In my case it is because the bigger batteries/mods last longer between charges. I mainly use box mods now because i gave a way all but one of my cig size batteries :) I won't be replacing them but will always remember that the cig size is what got me to start vaping.

Longer battery life, mostly.

Cigalikes will give you an hour to three hours max at normal vaping. Mods, or bigger batteries, can extend that life from anywhere around 6 hours up to 24 hours. Makes a world of difference.

I had a Blu with 4 batteries total, and a NLV cig a like, also 510 threaded. I got an AVERAGE of 20 minutes on the Blu batts and 30 mins. on the NLV. I got REALLY TIRED of switching out/recharging batteries. I filled my own carts after original Blu carts dried out. Got a little weary of that, too.

NOW-2nd day of no recharging! Woot! Vivi mini is clear, I can see how low juice is. No more burnt taste at the end of the carto. Also, I can screw in any 510 threaded cartomizer and it works. MUCH MORE vapor, MUCH MORE flavor.

I am not knocking the cigalikes, after all, it is what got me into vaping. To continue my journey with less hassle, more flavor and REUSEABLE/WASHABLE clearos....!

Difference is,when I was a teenager, I liked Budweiser. As and adult, moved away from the Bud and now drink Stella Artois, Sam Adams, etc. I NEVER drink Budweiser anymore. That is the best analogy I can come up with right now.

Again, not knocking the Budweiser drinkers or cigalike users. Just my own taste buds and preference!

The e-roll isn't like your typical cigalike, so you may not need to switch. The e-Roll gives a lot more flavor and vapor than the standard cigalike. I have a Provari, Reos, and twists and I still love using my e-Rolls. Everyone is different and if you are happy with your e-Roll, don't sweat it. If and when you feel the need for something else, you can always add to your collection and use both the new bigger PV and your e-Rolls. It's nice to have choices. :)

Because we like to have some control over our vaping experience, such as the amount of vapor, taste, and level of throat hit... We don't like being slaves to the battery charger.. We like blowing out massive plumes of vapor...

No seriously.... It's because we all subconsciously think that size matters and that's the only reason. Big battery mods are just a waste of time and do nothing to enhance the act of vaping... I'm listing mine on the classies this evening and going back to my beloved cig a likes.

To my way of thinking, the best PV ever made is the one that gets you off & keeps you off cigs. If it takes a ProVari or an NJoy, so be it. I've been analog-free for 19 months. I quit using eGos & have graduated to a ProVari & a Zmax. I used ePowers & lavatubes & still do ocassionally. What I haven't done is smoke. Do what works for you & don't worry what others think.

There is a guy I work with who buys cheap gas station ecigs, the rechargable kind. He uses prefilled cartos & he's happy & analog-free for over a year, He sees my ProVari & says it's not for him. Who am I to say he's vaping garbage! It works for him, so it's the best thing to ever happen to him. To thine ownself be true.

For some reason my quotes aren't working. Darn phone.

To anonym:

I agree with the previous poster, the eRoll is not a typical cig-a-like. I don't have much experience with anything other than my RN4081 cartomizer cig-a-like (my first kit) and my eRoll. But I can tell you that the two are worlds apart.

I still have my RN4081 stashed for emergencies only. :) It's got nothin' on my eRoll.

you need them for VV, and for longevity if you don't like changing out batteries or charging.

Cig-a-likes will ALWAYS have a place. I was just looking at ecabs....if you were out at fancy dinner, white elegant sticks would look great with dress up for sure....male or female.......big batt mod not so much LOL
