I am looking for a mechanical PV tube battery type that has a LOCKING button on the end!!! Tired of having my current PV mod scorch my atomizers and my leg. Any suggestions?

Based on what's currently available, I think you would be happy with the PS V3 or Icon. But Isaac is working on something special with the "Chameleon II"...

Owning the Icon I can't truly endorse it. It's performance is disappointing especially considering I use it with IMRs. The lock works great however. When the dust settles I may get some AW IMRs and I will gladly retract my comments should batteries prove otherwise. My 14500 box mod on regular Trustfires performs better, sorry.

No worries, they actually don't hurt so much as just don't like to move certain ways and click. (yuck)
And if I can't use it by some chance, my husband can : D

Looking at the pic's the way the button is I think I can use my ring finger with no issue's and if since it's a easy throw I could probably use my other hand then ( sp2 was pretty stiff)
Aww You just broke my heart! Psh...married
Ouch on the click! That has to be so annoying. I'm sorry you have to deal with that Wench. I really don't see the ring finger posing an uncomfortable problem. If anything, I would be more than happy to find a spring that would make the button just glide as smooth as..something that glides smoothly :D
Isaac if you take a patented product and change it, I think it's 30%, then you can apply for a new patent. You can also take 2 patented products and combine them for a new product. It takes allot of time and money to fight them patents in court. You can prove your product was in design before he ever applied for a patent.
Heres one from 1997 Push-and-turn latching control button, in particular for operating an electrical component
United States Patent 5593022
You can sit and pull up patents for switches or anything else all day.
Thanks 5Card, I contacted our fellow artist and he claimed the exact same thing. All of our work is indeed timestamped and company X will most likely go broke trying to fight it as it is very different.
And one of those customers was me. I was slow to warm up to an intial purchase back in July, mostly because I detected a hint of elitist attitude in the subforum and cost. I never considered my posts controversial, but I guess he did. I will say even in PMs he was nothing but respectful, even though I think he may have been slightly confused as to what he told me in previous PMs. Oh well, life moves on.

I have a suggestion! :D
Wait just a little longer and I promise your thigh burning days are over and will be forgotten.

Vaporologist sent me a PM...

<<If you are experiencing a lack of performance, most likely the issue is with the bottom contact screw. The ones sent initially had a SS contact screw which is a pain in the ... (also on my V3). You have to sand it down once a week due to oxidation which accumulates quickly. If you feel like it's not hitting well, just sand it down for a few seconds and apply Noalox which is a MUST with that device and that screw. If you have a new upgraded switch kit with a brass screw, then you don't need to worry about it any more than on your P18. Let me know if this help.>>

I went one step further and changed the screw to brass. It is an 8-32 thread 3/8" long. It now performs as expected.

I gather this problem has been discussed on the PS forum. Not previously ownig a PS product I did/do not participate there. or I would have known of this problem.

I therefore retract my previous comments wrt performance. It performs very well when proper conductivity is supplied to the atty. On a side note, when a mechanical device is not performing up to par, it is usually a conductivity problem (contact points corroded/gunked up).

Besides being a great guy he has the best damn cartomizers made too. I would put money on his outlasting and out performing anybodies.
