Hello all

I am a Volt user and am considering buying one of these V4L ego kits. I want an opinion on how these perform compared to my current 808 volt battery and 2.8 ohm cartos? Will this work with my volt cartos ( I have back stock). I'm also assuming the 1.5 duals that come with the kit will hit harder :)? Basically need a new more powerful toy for the house. Thanks in advance.

I just tryed a Volt carto on the V4L Ego which I received yesterday, and it works. I'm having problems with the Mega carto which came with the Ego not firing on it though. It worked for about the first ten Vapes and then stopped. I put the Mega Carto on a Titan and if fires fine. It looks a little silly, but it works. I currently have a tank on my Ego and it is working. I can't figure out why the Mega carto won't fire on it. I did buy a spare Mega carto, so maybe I'll try it today.

Anyone care to explain the purpose of having multiples of the same model?

I'll take a stab at your question, if I understand it correctly.

If you like the way a particular setup works, you'll want backups for when the batteries need to be recharged so that you'll have something to use when they are recharging. Also, all rechargeable batteries eventually die, so again it's smart to have backups for when that happens.

I read the question and this would have been my answer. I carry two or three batts with me at a time just for the sake of having backups. It's nice to have a spare batt whether an eGO or VT or VK.

I don't think I've ever felt comfortable with just 2 LOL :)

I usually have my 'active' piece, and then a spare battery and filled tank on person, and then another spare battery and PT in the car, with a few cool carts in case of emergencies.

If I plan on being gone for any significant amount of time, I get even more nutty... While you can now find ecigs at a few gas stations in case of emergencies, the quality of those units (and the flavor) leave a LOT to be desired. Having said that, I know the day will come where I end up having to get one... *shudder*

I had gotten a PCC at first myself, but unfortunately they did not recharge batteries fast enough to keep up with how quickly I drain them. (I tend to take long heavy drags, and also tend to chain-vape a lot.)

I have since moved up the 'battery chain' to devices with more and more capacity. The EGOs they sell here are quite good in that regard, lasting a fair bit more than say a King Diamond XL stick battery. (My current main device is one I won't go into great detail about as it was purchased from another vendor, but the battery on it is 2,200mah, which would last me through the Godfather series without needing a charge probably hehehe.)

That's just my experience though; I was a pretty insane smoker when I used analogs (I could puff through a "100" in a matter of 2 or 3 minutes tops.) After experimenting with various equipment, I've finally come up with a frankenstein rig with my favorite parts from here and elsewhere, and am now very happy with my setups...

If the PCC and a pair of batteries are cutting it for you, don't let me give you the impression you need to upgrade anything. I sometimes wish I had been at a level where that was all I really need. Now though, having reduced my nic level so much from when I started, it's really beginning to seem to me like it's shifting to be more about the vape than the nic I'm getting from it! Either that or I vape more to make up for the lower nic, haha.

I'm not sure which parts of the above are correct interpretations.. Others, what are your experiences/thoughts on this one?

Couldn't imagine going through 30mLs a day.

The nicotine is still a very big part for me BlueAdept sir.... Always have a redonkulous amount of batteries with me at all times, along with cartos and juice because of how much I vape. All comes down to the user like you said. Some people go through 2 batts and 3ml a day, others 15 and 30ml....

So will the ego hit harder than my volt or is that really a function of the dual coil carto? I also have Volt X2. Just trying to a get a feel for differences if any Thanks
