Um... wow. I've been vaping while cutting back on my ciggies for the last month. Today was the first day I tried to go all day without an anolog. I made it until about 5 minutes ago, then gave in. The first drag on the analog gave me the fasted, hardest hitting head rush I can remember since stealing one of my mom's Marlboro Reds when I was 14. Scared the crap out of me. Is that normal????

Happened to me many times. Got so light headed I thought I was going to fall over a couple of those times.

Yup makes you realize just how much crap is in there hub

Of course I'm a right wing nut job.....I believe in personal responsibility, NOT government responsibility...:)

You're not the only one!

Yup, tobacco releases nicotine that's absorbed by your system much quicker than e-cig nic. That's why you can chain vape for an hour without od'ing. Try smoking cigs one after another for an hour and you'll probably be sick.

Ah, yes. I remember... well, sort of... those were my drinking days. lol

Besides the fact that they would taste completely nasty at this point, to me..that would def be a deterant!

I have noticed the analogs taste a lot worse than they used to. Brushing my teeth a lot lately, along with freezing my taste buds with ice water.

Thanks, guys. I seriously thought I was stroking out for just a second, then it was gone. The problem is, I haven't found my all-day liquid yet, so I can't quite get the satisfaction I need from vaping alone yet.

OK, to the unspoken questions (I think. An assumption...so forgive me if I'm exceeding bounds here).

There is a withdrawal from tobacco and smoking in particular even while using e-cigs. So it's not uncommon for people to cut back and have urges to smoke at first. After a while you will wean yourself off it. Some do it day one (the scum! ;) ) some of us do it a bit at a time. So not uncommon to go without and then have a cig and go "whoa!".

It takes about 2 or 3 weeks of "pushing through it" even with high enough nic e-juice. The higher nic helps at first. Some cut down later, others never do. But don't be too scared of nic. Someone (WomanOfHeart?) is famous for pointing out "I don't know why smokers are so scared of nicotine in e-cigs" (paraphrased). She's right. Make sure you get enough nic to ward off the stinkies.

You have to set a date and push through it. Maybe just finish up the carton/pack(s) and "just don't buy anymore".

Make sure your hardware is working well. Crappy hardware and performance from an e-cig will severely limit it's effectiveness in switching to it full time IMO.

Good Luck!

I believe you're not vaping on the right equipment brother, I was a 2 pack a day smoker for about 8 or 9 years, my very first PV was the Lavatube 1 with a 6ml DCT tank, I vape on 18mg 70/30 PG/VG liquids, the first hit I took I threw away the remaining half pack of marlboro reds I had left, my assumption is from what you said, you're not getting a strong enough hit off of whatever you're using to make you not feel like picking up an analog, I had no problems throwing my pack of cigarettes away, in fact vaping hit so much harder than what I was smoking. My suggestion to you, go for bigger devices like variable voltage devices and try liquids with high PG ratio and probably about 18mg nicotine strength. I had a friend do the same thing and gave up because he was using one of those mini e-cigs, those really don't do the trick, especially if you were a heavy smoker. Just my 2 cents.
