OMGVV Mod batteries

Was considering getting the OMGVV mod but saw that the batteries on the site say they cannot be used with the OMGVV. So my question is are you planing to stock batteries for it or where do I get them?

Mavrickk, we do not have a time estimate on getting spare batteries for the VV. When/if we get them in we will announce it right here on ECF. In the meantime, a manager suggested looking into Battery Junction, a vendor who will most likely carry a spare battery for the VV.

Mavrickk sir you want to go with 18500/18490 batts. If you go the protected route make sure they're at least 1500mah and carry a 2c rating. If you go the imr (high drain route) suggest going with aw 1100mah ones. The efest imr batts have a higher resistance and don't last as long (~150 cycles they start to lose their capacity in all my tests). If you go imr you need to get another charger.

Thank you for the answers. Looking at all these batteries is a little frustrating. Can the 18650 be used with the extender on the OMGVV? And could you post a link to a good battery to use, protected please? Thanks for all your help.
