I'm using one of these. However I thought I read that the bottom is sealed or glued and you can't get it off. I'm trying a different juice in mine and trying to figure out how to change out the head.

Wanted to add that I have vivi nova clones as well. This is far superior. I'll be ordering more if I can get down the changing of the heads on it.

Thanks

Don't know where you read that.........if you look at the pics in the OP, both top and bottom can be unscrewed from the tube. There should be no problem changing the head. Just make sure that you are using heads made for this tank. ;)

I got one from GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more in the mail a few days ago, and decided to set it up today with my all-day juice. I read somewhere, maybe on the gotvapes website, that it isn't recommended to fill the aClear all the way to the 3.5ml mark, even though the tube is marked to that level. I started out with roughly 2.5ml, screwed it on to my Zmax that was already set to 8 watts, and took a toot. Burnt, nasty taste, so I thought maybe it hadn't had enough time to properly wick the juice, so I let it set for about 10 minutes and tried it again. Same thing, so I started bumping the wattage down .5 watts at a time until it no longer tasted burnt. I ended up down at 4 watts doing that! So, I took it apart and kinda fluffed the wicks up a bit - they look kinda scraggly that way, but I figured the increased surface area would equal increased wicking ability. While I'm pretty sure that is a fact, it didn't help. The first toot was good, but I had to bump it down to 3.5 watts this time. That's ridiculously low imo... So, since I believed the issue had to be a wicking issue, I figured I might as well fill it to the 3.5ml line. That seems to have helped, but I still can't go over 5 watts without it burning up and tasting nasty. So...

Could it be that I have a defective coil head? I usually vape at 8-9 watts on iClear 16s with absolutely zero problems, and they run about 2-2.1 ohms. The aClear is showing as 2.4 ohms on my Zmax. I realize that the wattage is relative to the resistance. I'm not saying that just because the aClear is 2.4 and the iClear is 2.1 that I should be able to increase the wattage even more, but I should be able to vape at the same wattage with no problem. I use a 50/50 blend of Ice Cold Menthol from Electronic Cigarettes Chicago | E Cigarettes | E Cigs | Smokeless Cigarettes | eCigarette Minooka, IL and thin it out even more by adding from a bottle of same that is straight PG. I'm not going to do the math, but adding 1.5ml of straight PG to my 2ml of 50/50 should have thinned it to a point where it is easily wicked. What else can I try? The aClear is really sweet looking on my polished stainless steel Zmax - looks a heck of a lot better than the iClear 30 does, but at least the iClear 30 works! lol (Now if I could JUST get the blueberry taste out of it from (stupidly) using it to vape a new blueberry juice that I thought I would want to vape all day - wrong!).

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

P.S. - Please ask your vendor to stop gluing the drip tips in! lol I'm sure they didn't, but I honestly thought it was all one piece until I saw on a review that it came out because I had to pull so hard on it to get it out of the top piece that it ripped the o-ring on the drip tip a bit...

I've used these and have filled it up to 3.5 with no problems. When it gets to about 1/2 the tank I would get some burnt taste which was fixed by tilting the tank to keep the wicks wet, same issue VVN had.

Curious as to what the tip is made of. The first one I had was plastic and the later ones were metal.

Sorry to hear you're having problems with these, for me they worked much better than the VVNs I had. I also like that the lower resistance heads had thick wicks unlike the VVNs. I actually preferred the 2.8 heads and using 4.8-5.1V or 8.2-9.3W. How do the coils look and see if they are centered. Try another head and see if you have the same issue.

Yep. That's definitely the next step. The aClear came with the 2.4 ohm head installed, and included a 1.8 ohm, and a 2.8 ohm replacement head. I think I'll try the 2.8 since having enough voltage to spare is definitely not a problem atm. lol Thanks for the reply! :)

Oh, btw, the drip tip is solid metal - looks to be stainless steel to me...

I switched the heads out. The 2.8 reads as 2.7 on the Zmax which is close enough. So far, so good! I am running it at 8 watts, and have yet to be choked up by the nasty, burnt taste that the 2.4 was giving me. 8 watts with 2.7 ohms resistance works out to about 4.6-4.7 volts, which is within the range that I typically prefer to vape. I'm not getting the amount of vapor production that I like atm, but one problem at a time...

Hey guys, I just got one of these in the mail yesterday. I've tried the Vision, but decided on the cheaper aClear after reading some reviews.. A few minor problems, I cannot get the bottom piece (that connects to the battery and coil) off!! No matter how hard I try, it will not unscrew, how do I change my coil like this?? I don't want to crack the tank trying

And it seems the drip tip is attached to the top piece too, can the drip-tip be removed?

Hmmm... Did you get it from GotVapes? Does it look just like the pic in the OP?

Actually got it from easyvaping.com, and it looks exactly like the picture, it was only about $7.50. I'm hoping that maybe letting my juice sit in it for awhile will help lubricate the bottom, so that I can unscrew it. But for now I still cannot get the bottom unscrewed from the tank to change the coil, and the drip tip (metal?) also seems to be attached to the top piece, but at least I can unscrew the top piece to fill it up..

Other than those problems though, the clearo seems to be functioning great! :)
.... I've been using the Kanger T2 since I started vaping a few months ago, and just received the T3 and the aClear Nova yesterday. The T3 gives me a bigger, thicker vapor-hit when I inhale (which I lovee), but the great flavor of my juice seems a bit muted or plastic-tasting. The T2 gives me better flavor than the T3, the T3 gives me a thicker hit, and the aClear Nova seems to deliver a good balance of flavor and thick vapor, but it's a little too large/heavy for me, and the Kangers seem easier to take apart and clean and such.

I'd suggest you contact the vendor you purchased it from to see if they can assist you... first and foremost. Perhaps you just got a bad one or they got seconds or perhaps a bad lot. I know I haven't read any reports here in the GotVapes forum area about others having any issues with what they got from GV. I also know that GotVapes goes to great lengths to ensure they are getting authentic products direct from the manufacturer and to ensure they are not getting seconds from them... I can't say that is true with all others...

The drip tip should come out. I know mine was a tight fit the first time I popped it out, but it does come out and goes back in easily afterwards. As for the bottom not unscrewing, try to let it soak in some hot water then use some paper towels (for grip) to twist it apart, although mine wasn't THAT tight when I got it.

Got the bottom off with vice-grips lol, and 2mL of juice spilled through the drip tip when I got it off. Still haven't gotten the drip tip off but haven't really tried again, I'll try today. Overall it's okay but seams a little airy on the draw, I don't like the metal drip-tip

The drip tip definitely does come off. I thought it was something I was stuck with when I first got mine as well. It was almost like the o-ring had welded itself to the top cap! It ripped it up a bit when I finally got it free, but it's still usable. I don't even use my aClear anymore because everything tastes burnt, no matter what coil I use. When I first installed the 2.8 ohm coil, it seemed like that solved my problem, but within 30 minutes it was back to the same ol' burnt taste. TBH, my experience with the aClear has made me skeptical about even trying the Vision Vivi Nova. I don't want to spend the money on it if it's going to have the same wicking problem that the aClear does. I have had some problems with the Vision CE4 (Stardust) not wicking properly as well, but the iClear 16, which is also in the CE4 format, wicks super. Anyway, I'm rambling. lol I hope you get everything worked out with your aClear!! :)
