Remind him of this old saying:

God made man... Samuel Colt made man equal.

No one is a big tough scary person after they've had a half dozen .45 rounds pumped in their chest, and even the scrawniest kid can pull a trigger. I've got an 11 year old niece that has brought down two deer and a 400lb wild boar so far this year, and she's all of 4'10" and weighs only slightly more than a wet towel.

I know. I've told him. Idiots around here will pull out a gun in a hot second if they feel like someone "disrespected" them. He has an intense sense of right and wrong, and when it gets violated it makes him angry. He's doing much better, but we've had some serious discussions on the matter.

The last thing you want is for a cop to find out that there's been a gun in the car and they didn't know about it from the instant they walked up to the window. As a general rule, I don't like startling people who are authorized to use deadly force.
Correct.
If you have a legit CCW, inform LEO immediately.
CCW holders must have clean records, and LEO would rather deal with a law abiding citizen who has passed a background check than someone hiding a weapon.
It will help put the officer at ease.

I have gotten a few glances before when using the dripper in the car. Mostly it's just confused looks, like a 4 year old's reaction to the quarter behind the ear trick. My most memorable one was a very bright and clear day when I was actually able to see the man and woman (mid 20s) in the car behind me along with their facial expressions at a light. I blew it out the window and they both had a look of amazement and began laughing and shaking their heads in disbelief. They stayed behind me for several turns and, even when exhaling at speed, I could see them smiling behind me.

Whether they were doing so in kind amazement or making fun of me is another story. I choose to believe the former. :)

Wanna see a guy get cuffed by a cop for vaping?
It seems to me he was giving LEO a hard time. If a cop asks for ones ID, one better show him an ID or say "I don't have it with me right now" and then take it from there. If a cop holds up his hand, one better stop the car, even if the stop light is green..

If one doesn't have one's driver's license while driving, then one had better be prepared for a ticket -- at the very least -- if one is stopped.

It's not that she was a concerned citizen that has most riled up, its the attitude she presented when she stopped me at at a light. I wouldn't have minded so much if someone had just phoned the police with a concern but she HAD to let me know it was her as if I was going to sit around after an arrest and dwell on the fact that it was her. I'm all for standing up for the community, just not being a .... about it.
I didnt get that from your post but yea I see your point I hate those kinds of people to.

Maybe she lost her son because some guy was driving stoned.

If I see people drinking jack daniels bottles I can't know if it's just water they are drinking but common sense says I'd better be careful that they might be drunk drivers.

I was parked at a store, sitting in my car with my brother-in-law, turning the interior into a fog bank. Some old lady pulled up, honked her horn and yelled "I'm gonna call the cops on you guys".

My brother-in-law stepped out, pulled out his badge, and asked her to step out of her car. Then he warned her about the dangers of honking, yelling at, and threatening complete strangers on the street. He told her how lucky she was that he was a cop rather than a gang member who might have shot her. She was visibly shaking by the time he let her get back in her car and go on her way.

I have some of the best times riding around with him in the car.

So the an old chief of police from KY was in my co workers office, so I decided to ask him. Be glad your brother-in-law wasn't under him or he would be canned by now. Hard of hearing old ladies yell... did you or brother in law really feel threatened by this little old lady?

Awwwww, scaring little old ladies... kudos mate.

This is how people get shot and beat by police officers! Why would anyone turn a situation like that into a urinating competition??!! If and when I am asked by an officer of the law ANY question, it's answered politely and followed by a sir or ma'am!

I understand that dude was doing nothing wrong but the time to argue that fact is not while the officer is trying to conduct his business!!

Stupid! If I was in the car with dude, I punch him in the throat, grab his ID and tell the officer that my so called friend has just misplaced his common sense and to try and not take his attitude for how he would normally act!!!

This.^^ Chances are if he would've given the officer his ID he would have been on his way shortly after. I have had run ins with bad cops and that officer was not acting like one, that kid had a chip on his shoulder and wanted to "prove" something. Being shot is a little much but I wouldn't have bat an eye if he got a good tasing. :D

They are indeed. But I am friends with a bunch of police officers they train their dogs in our welding shop since there are so many hiding places, and hearing them talk about what people do to them on a daily basis I have little patience for punks like that. I am not saying I agree with what has happened recently in the press but it is easy to see how a good officer gets frustrated very quickly with a kid like this when they are just trying to do their job and be on their way.

ETA: And I vape in front of them all the time happily answering any questions they have about it to keep other vapers from being stopped like the OP.
