He didn't get cuffed for vaping he got cuffed for trying to be a smart {MODERATED} street lawyer. Completely deserved it.
Agreed whata tool! I bet you a pay check that was not in TX you wont run your mouth that much to a TX cop.

I'm from TX just SE of Houston and yes there probably would've been a totally different outcome. They can arrest you and hold you until they verify who you are, he got off easy and got to go home.

I always stay at that RV park just south of 10 as your going out of town. I build those shiny silver domes you see going on top of the tanks.

I think I know exactly what park youre talking about Hwy 146 runs right by it (I wanna say it turns into loop 200 something) just S of I-10.

In my area the cops would have come by your home several days later,,,maybe but probably not. The profiling can not be done over the phone second hand.
Where I come from my car would've been surrounded by S.W.A.T. before I made it to the next traffic light!

Oh I've got some great stories from riding around with him. 430hp Mustang, 700 watt stereo, blowing big vapor clouds out the window, and a cop in the passenger seat on a Friday night. Every intersection is a comedy show just waiting to happen.

700 watt stereo? Do you have enough bass to do this?:

So the an old chief of police from KY was in my co workers office, so I decided to ask him. Be glad your brother-in-law wasn't under him or he would be canned by now. Hard of hearing old ladies yell... did you or brother in law really feel threatened by this little old lady?

Awwwww, scaring little old ladies... kudos mate.

I am sorry but I would hope that the police officer would not be fired for giving the woman some sound advice.
It is truly stupid and dangerous to yell threats at complete strangers in public. The officer did her a favor by warning her of that. The old police chief must not have gotten the full story or maybe you explaiined it like the officer threatened her which is not what I read.

I agree! Anyone who would yell ANYTHING at strangers deserves whatever they get; that old lady was fortunate that it was a cop she was yelling at, and not some gang-banger or generally crazy and/or "medicated" person with a gun!

Aww, how cute. You know Bubba from the back woods.

Come let him deal with the Houston street gangs for a couple of months. I'll bet he wouldn't have hesitated on stepping out and explaining to the lady why she shouldn't be acting like she was. My brother in law wasn't bullying her, he was trying to help save her life. You can get KILLED for honking at, yelling at, and threatening the wrong person in Houston. Your old police chief is used to dealing with the local rednecks whose biggest crime is having a few too many beers before driving. My brother in law deals with MS13.

Thanks! That is all I am saying. I did not read that the offficer in any way threatened the woman just that he warned her of the dangers of yelling threats at random strangers.

You are likely to garner More respect from the cop When you tell him you're CC permitted and carrying.

They aren't stupid. They know the amount of armed violence committed by permit carriers is miniscule. They also know the
background check involved, how much you paid for the permit and that you probably don't want to screw up and lose it.

We don't have to announce in Fla but I check the laws on any state I carry To. It ALWAYS goes better in those states when
you announce up front. I also only bother IF I'm actually carrying. (Duh)

Not necessarily. My encounters have ranged from the cop talking guns with me for a few minutes and letting me off with a warning to being removed from my car, disarmed, and handcuffed at gunpoint. So ya, I inform if I know the cop, although most of the ones I recognize already know that I carry. I stopped informing unfamiliar officers after that last encounter. Lol.

Quite beside the fact that it's just plain RUDE. I thought old ladies were supposed to be the last bastion of good manners.
