Resistance is measured over a given length in regards to kanthal. The higher the gauge the more resistance over a given length and also the wire gets thinner. So more wraps = greater length of kanthal = more resistance. I pretty much only use 28 gauge.
both, each size wire or gauge has a rating for ohms per inch. the larger the gauge number, the higher the ohms per inch. Also as the gauge number increase the wire gets skinnier.
So using the same gauge wire, the more wraps you have, the more wire you're using and thus the ohms of the coils goes up. Also the inner diameter has a play here. A bigger diameter coil will use more wire per wrap and the ohms will go up.
Try 10 wraps of 28 gauge around 1/16 inch drill bit.

1/16" drill bit is good. Also, toothpick will work or a blunt tip syringe needle or about anything with that same diameter. I've used them all and they all work.
I think the lowest i have read on my Provari was .8 ohms that was on a build on the kayfun lite. Anything below that will just say LO. I also noticed its a lot easier to dry burn the coil on the provari, when i do that i usually have the voltage at 2.9V
Quick question, I see that AW IMR batteries 1600mah are the recommend battery, I have 2000mAh will it not work?

The 2000mAh will work great. 1600mAh pack more punch but it doesn't make much difference until you get into more advanced setups. With the starting point Filthy-Beast recommended the 2000mAh will be perfect!

I wrap all of my coils using one of these. It's a bit easier to hold on to compared to a drill bit.
Yeah RTDvapor is a where I get my batteries. I have both 2000 mah and 1600 mah batteries. The 2000 will handle up to a 10 amp draw while the 1600 can handle a 24A draw. If you stay at or above a .5 ohm coil the 2000 will be fine. However if you want to try a lower ohm use the 1600.

Poor Reo, it's good of you to give it a better home. A nice hot bath, brush it's tooth with a file, give it a noalox coating and vape away.
