Homeish now
Anyone else getting really freaking sick of seeing crappy marked up ecigs?

I'd post a link but he pulled it........Some company was advertising on my local Craigs list... a ecig...that lasted 6-8 hours, looked just like a cig same size, 1 cart = carton of cigs. Selling kits for 149.99 (it's the blu knock off whatever number that is)
Advertising it was a quit smoking device ect........The kicker...the ad said that they were safe and legal for Teen Usage!

No wonder gov is trying to shut us down!
Sick of these Bloody jerk "Venders" who either dont know....or dont freaking care as long as they make money!
Chewed this guy a few new holes......and I did get somewhat a positive response, he pulled the ad and will do research.

Honestly I think we(as in the general ecig community) needs to start doing this.......see a fake vender...on CL, in the mall you bloody let them know what exactly you think of what they are selling and they are doing to us.

Never thought to look on craigslist. My god there are a LOT of people selling these things. Looks like I'm gonna have to do some looking and reporting the scammers myself.

*Edit - Looks like most of the ad's are from one place and looking at their website, their prices are so-so, but they have all the usual disclaimers and don't promote them as a stop smoking device and state that they are only for those over 18 or 21 depending on state laws. They also have pretty accurate info on typical usage and charging and other topics. Don't know if they are a reputable company, but at least they are not doing anything overtly underhanded.

These crappy e-cigs and the companies who deal in them are really, really bad for Public Relations and E-Cig awareness.

I warn people away from them as soon as I get into a conversation about vaping with curious smokers.

I was fortunate that I did research on the net before buying and found ECF right away. I got a 510 starter kit and a small bottle of RY4 26mg. Been smoke free ever since.

Hey! I'm a Senior Member now! I guess that happens after 150 posts.

I totally agree UntamedRose and Great Job calling this guy out on it!! You're right about these unscrupulous vendors doing irreparable damage to the industry as a whole and the collective efforts of so many, working tirelessly at educating the public and legislators about this technology. We definitely cannot afford any dumb*&#*&s providing the alphabet suits with just the ammunition they want to further their agenda.

I whole-heartedly agree! I'd say half of the people who ask me about whatever PV I am using at the moment say they saw the ad for the $150 model or worse, tried one. Inevitably, their whole outlook on ecigs is tainted. I love the look on their faces when I show them my $10 box mod and tell them where they can get a $35 kit, though :)

Maybe it's just one of the benefits of living in a metropolitan area, but I just searched the north NJ, central NJ, and NYC suburbs sections of craigslist for "electronic cigarette" and got nothing but $30-$60 starter kit offers. There were a few Blu kits at the higher end of the price range, but most were for 510/901/KR808 kits for reasonable prices. Actually, most of the results were for used cars, but the actual ecig offers were all legit. Not bad, NJ.

I will definitely be keeping an eye out on CL here. I have never seen a kiosk in any mall here in Indiana, but if I just so happen to see one... they will be put to the test. Its scum like the OP talked about that is ruining this for all of us. Quite frankly, I find it unfare for people to judge an entire industry based on the actions of a small percentage of that industry. I liken this unto people shunning and banning computers because there are a few bad hackers out there.

I've run into a few people lately that have bought off someone like this. I set them straight. They weren't happy with what they got, so I've started keeeping a new cart with me just so those folks can try mine out.

There was an advertisement on the local radio station that was much like what you describe. When I first started vaping(last fall) I didn't hear of them anywhere, now I'm hearing of them but its the wrong way!

Totally sick of it, even at the local flea market they are charging $40.00 for one replacement kr808
and still saying the cartos are 2 packs worth.

There are always some in the bunch that I want to punch . I was told my ltv9 would last me all day and a carto was worth 2 packs. There will always be false advertisers. The safe for teen thing I have not seen yet but that is what makes me want to punch this guy you mention.

Good for you! Go get em

I tried to do that in my local mall and well let's just say they were not so nice to me. One of the idiots even argued with me openly. They act like by telling me theirs are better than mine I will switch over or something. Thing is I started vaping with that company and those "mall employees" of that company have been working there for less time then I have been vaping. One thing I did see is the jerk mall guy didn't let the teens try it or buy it.
