I have been vaping for about three months. Started on disposables, then bought a blu kit. Then moved to egos and CE4's. I have a friend who is a vaper and he turned me onto the ego twists. So I vape twists with Kanger t3 and vision vivi nova. I love the VV option of the twists and have found the sweet spot at 4 Volts. Anyway, he has a bunch of mods and I have tried the eVic and his provari mini. He gave me a smoktech telescope with a 18350 battery and have been using it for about a week. I love the pinky button on the telescope and I might get a kick to regulate the wattage. I really like the telescope a lot. With a kick I know it would be so much better. Also, I tried his itaste MVP which I really liked also. I liked the fit in my hand as well as the construction. The provari is a nice mod, but I wasnt that impressed. The finish and construction is top notch, but honestly Im not sure if its worth it. I can get a kick for the telescope and a MVP for less than the Provari.

I don't have an MVP but I'd make sure the battery is replaceable, probably is but I didn't see what kind of battery it uses. Hopefully an 18650, which is AFAIK the biggest battery in common use. I do have a Provari and love it, and it does have a great warranty. But you got me thinking about that MVP as a backup...

Trust your instincts. If you're feeling MVP, go MVP.
Yea honestly I like the MVP more than the Provari. Im just thinking that I'm missing something. Plus I like the pinky switch on the telescope a lot and have gottten used to using it. With a kick set to 6.5W I'm sure it will be great.

no it has a built in battery, but that is not a big deal for me. The battery is 2500Mah.

You're only missing something if you place other people's opinions above your own. You know what's best for you, and that's the only thing that matters.

Me? I have absolutely zero interest in rebuildables, even though that makes me odd man out. Care not, I do.

If I want to build something, I'll buy a bleeping Lego set.

Get the MVP.

Yea I like the MVP a lot, more than the Provari. I like box mods and also the feature of being able to charge my phone on it.

I like box mods

Billet Box Vapor Inc.

SWEEET looking!

BTW, I have a MVP, Provari and a couple Volcano Infernos (basically Ego). Loving the Provari. Probably will still use the MVP for work. You already seem to know the advantages and disadvantages. But I will add one thing, for some reason, several of my tank/cartos will not thread on enough to make contact on the MVP (unless you apply the grip of death). Seems like the 510 thread is recessed a little too deep. But it is cool that is has multiple thread connections on one device. Enjoy whatever choice you make! They are both great devices in their own way.

If the MVP or similar box is what you want, then get it. You may decide on something like the ProVari down the line, but I wouldn't worry about that now.

However, if I were you, I'd at least give some thought to the Sigelei TMax. It's a new box mod that will take either an 18650 or 18350 as opposed to the MVP's internal battery that is not replaceable. (Once the life of the battery is over, so is the MVP's) The TMax has 2 battery compartments so that when one battery runs low, you can just swap the end caps to switch the battery the device is running off of. It has the same VV and VW features as the MVP. I know that it is available at Exhale Vapors for like $60-65. They also have the Kick you're interested in for $43.

I love my ProVari as much as anyone, but its not for everyone. What's important to you in a device may change down the line, but you should get what fits your needs and budget now.

any mod is a good mod. any one. as long as you know what to do with it.
if you do research and learn ohms law, nothing is stopping you from having an amazing vape on anything.
even an ego. even a stick battery. anything can give you a good vape if you use it right.
there are pros and cons to certain things, but, as long as you do ur research, you'll know them.

I have too many mods, but I do enjoy using them all with different things atop of them.
My provari has a rebuildable dripping atty on it right now. Just about everything else has vivi novas.
My 1 mech tube mod has an Aga-T1 on it, which i enjoy using a lot. My Silver Bullet has a dripper.
My bottom feeder has a regular 510 atty on it because I recently found out my A7 can short it out!

As long as you have some fun stuff to put on top of your mod or mods, your golden.
Low resistance for low voltage (like if you don't get a kick for your tele, use low resistance)
Higher resistance is nice for a VV mod because a high ohm coil will vape cool OR warm & be nice both ways.

Life is good as a vaper. You have 1000 options out there. Rebuildables are great if u have a meter.
Lots of things are grrreat. I love the MVP. The SVD isn't for me, I think it looks terrible.
The Provari is 1 of my favorite mods but I still think it could cost less, or at least the paint/LCD/end caps could.

Whatever you choose, if you do ur research, you WILL enjoy it. Enjoy your vaping journey.

The smoktech telescope does have a weak spot though... It is NOT drop resistant in the least.
1 drop and that pinky button will snap right off. I've seen it 4 or 5 times on this forum now.
So I am verrry careful with mine. Mine also has a problem with wobbling in 18500/18650 mode...
So I keep it in 18350 mode and it has worked wonderfully that way for a long time now. I like it.
Its a very stealthy mod in 18350 mode, that is why I love it so much for out of the house.
But it can wobble in the bigger modes and thats why I don't like using a kick in it :/ Which sucks..

If I were you, I'd definitely think about a 2nd mod. Maybe a VV mod. Because you never know..
You could drop your telescope on it's button and lose it 5 minutes from now, 3 days, 2 months.
Then your out of luck. You should always have a backup. ECF's motto is "Have backups for your backups"

Thanks! that sigelei looks awesome! I might have to pick one of those up also LOL.

A couple clarifications:

- The MVP is actually only VV and does not (currently) offer VW. Also, the MVP is only adjustable from 3.3-5v whereas the TMax goes from
3-6v and from 3-15 watts. This is a big reason ill be picking up a TMax over the MVP. I typically run my 3 ohm carto tanks around 5.2-5.4v and the 5v of the MVP would be tolerable, but won't quite cut it for me personally.

-Rumor has it that the next version of the MVP will be VV/VW. I am not sure yet if it will once again use an internal, non-replaceable battery or if it will take 18650/18350 batteries. If it turns out it'll take dual 18650s, you could put me down for a pre-order now. :vapor:

The Itaste MVP Lasts a long time.

I get a chuckle about don't buy it because it's non replaceable battery. Assuming the MVP uses 1/2 a charge a day
and it's a normal Lithium Ion which will go for 300 charges until it begins to lose charge [still having 80% Charge]
the lifespan for the battery is over two years.

You can charge it from any Micro USB Charger cable which most people have in there car home office etc. Also you can use as a
pass through with a long cable.

So the MVP has no battery decision, no charger decision, just buy it alone and vape.

If you are vaping in the ranges of the MVP than you'll be very happy.
My Provari gathered dust once I bought an MVP.

Now I'm into Sub Ohms, VV Bottom Feeding [Bogger Box], Mechanicals Kt100 with an Agi so I've outgrown the two.

The MVP is a great unit if you are going to be vaping in normal zone with stock type clearomizers. I wouldn't spend the extra money
on a Provari and have to buy batteries and chargers too.

By the way the MVP has an incredible vape life, I got over 2 1/2 days on a charge with a 2.4 Ohm Clearomizer at 4.2V

I started out with a Kicked bombshell stinger, very durable, huge battery, kind of a big pain in the ..., the kick jams side-wase in the mod and loose contact, you have to slap the bottom of the mod to re-seat it. I believe it maxes at 10 watts and it seems to really suck the juice out of the battery. I know most reviewers stated that they got like 3 days out of a single charge but I don't think they actually used it for three days strait. I get close to the same run time with an 18650 in my provari as I did with a 26650 in my Bombshell, I loaned the kick to a buddy to use in his Electric angel and he was barely getting 4 hours from it with an 18650. If you love mechs but want a regulated vape it's about your only option I think, but you wont get anywhere near the performance of a VV or VW device.

I'd just like to update that after a number of reports and reviews I've seen, I'd no longer recommend the Sigelei T-Max....at least until they take care some of the issues with them.

However, the MVP is selling dirt cheap at fasttech.com and other vendors. Like in the $45 range.

I had a TMax that lasted about six weeks. The warranty was 14 days. I can't recommend them either.
