Hello Provape community! First off, I envy all of you Provari owners :p Looks you guys are vaping in style.

I am VERY tempted to buy a provari, like tommorow. But I need a little push in way of encouragement to make me think that now is the right time to grab one. I see no flaws with in it anyway and everyone raves over it. I did however have one question on the unit itself.

The 510 threading, does this wear out over time? I know on another tube mod I have the threading would kind of wear out fairly quick and connections would be looser or start to not attach too securely. It wasn't terrible because of the extra connector caps you could buy and see the Provari doesn't have a thread cap separate for purchase, is that correct?

So I was just wondering if this threading is rock solid material that doesn't wear out, or what happens if it does wear out, if its a problem etc. I saw the thread lubricant and I would definitely grab that to take care of the threads.

Does anyone have any of the special edition ones? They look wonderful, is the finish the same as the original one just looking more badass? Might be worth the extra $ imo

So now the last thing that I need assurance on...is now the right time to buy one?
By that I just mean...is there going to be a new edition in a few months, or improvements etc..?

Or worse yet, will there be a sale the day after I buy it? LOL. I really want one of these and will probably cave in soon but to drop the dough I want to be sure...and I really want to have it because of the CE3s coming out soon, if those work wonders then those + provari will = "i-win-button"

Vape on Provari owners, in all your glory.

Hey LegioX,

I can relate to some of your concerns since I also had them initially. I didn't jump on the ProVari bandwagon until there was enough feedback from those who love it and from a few who maybe don't. I wanted to make sure that it was tested and proven to deliver as advertised. I think by now the evidence shows that the ProVari is a super solid device since it has passed tests from the toughest critics. Any flaws or weaknesses would have been revealed by now. Based on that I would suggest that now is a great time to buy one. Maybe there will be a new version down the road but that can be expected from this young industry. I would suggest not waiting based that probability unless you always want to wait for something newer or better to come out.

Regarding the threading, nothing to worry about. It's made from Stainless Steel and I am yet to see a stripped SS adapter threads.

I personally really like the original finish. When I chose it, it was not a financial decision, I just prefer that specific look. But, of course, taste is subjective. And btw, it looks waaaaay better in person than in pics.

I really suggest ordering this PV. I actually now wish that I would have acted a little sooner. Good luck with your decision.

I have to agree, the device looks incredible in person, the pics certainly don't do it justice.

As for the 510 threading, it seems excellent, but what really impressed me was the height of the centre post and insulation, I can't see that getting anywhere near squashed to create a short... High quality stuff.

the threading on the Vari is solid...the whole thing seems so so solid... no worries.
as far as a new version v2, i seriously doubt it... the Vari may be somewhat "minimalistic" in the sense that form is function ( a good thing)... too much "stuff" can doom a device.
It hits the main points well.

The Darwin connector is one of the biggest problems imo... seems tight, and lightly built... has features that you won't find on the Vari, but in the end, imo, they are more of a hassle.

Get the Vari.

Thanks guys. Great news about the threading, and I decided the regular finish is good enough for me. I am on the brink of purchasing it, or at least finalizing my decision to get it very soon. That 306 Atty looks like a lot of fun also, never got to try one.

I had one more question, I realized I have a charger for the 18650, its for Li-Ion though so I was wondering if this would work with the 18650 high drain batts? Its called the TL-100 Universal Li-Ion Charger. Its universally considered a piece of junk, but is it possible to charge provapes high drain batts with this thing?

Yes on the charger... just be sure the watch that when it turns green (charged) you are there to take the batts out... overcharging is the danger point for accidental explosion/fire.
It's always good to have backups of everything, within reason: batts, chargers, atty/cartos, pv.... etc
I have 2 Vari's and use them both regularly, but i vape about 10ml a day... crazy.

I love the Provari, but have my eye on Notcigs. too... the new Buzz Pro is coming, along with a VVPV that is some kind of juice feeder (like the Eclipse)... within a couple months, including the Vari and the Darwin, there will be at least 4 or 5 regulated variable power pv's on the market.

I love the 801 fusion carts, they're fantastic. I bought about 25 of them a while back. Great taste! And I would watch the overcharge with a cheap charger like the T-100.

I took a look at the Buzz Pro and it looks kind of cheap/flimsy to me and it use 16340 batteries, I think that means less battery life? It looks good overall though, and only a bit cheaper for not offering much that the Provari doesnt it seems. Will those juice feeding mods be carto-friendly? I'm a carto user at heart...though maybe using a 306 will change my mind lol.

Thanks for the tips. The only thing stopping me from ordering the Provari is being afraid there might be a discount sometime soon.

You may have a more astute "eye" than I, regarding the build quality of the Buzz Pro... all i know is that people swear by their Buzz.
Beta testing on the Buzz Pro shows that battery life is much better than the Vari, using protected Li-ion batts... and the IMR hi drains get longer time than the Vari too..

the one most obvious down side of the Vari, is batt cycle time (being short compared to darwin).

Hi! LegioX,

It looks like you need a push to get over this fence already!

One of two things is possible in this situation here! The first thing that will happen is that you're going to purchase a ProVari. The second is that you may decide not to purchase a ProVari.

I don't even have to get into the details about how awesome it is to own a ProVari to help with your decision here!

What I can tell you is this, if you make a mistake and decide to not get a ProVari you are always going to wonder what it was like to have owned a ProVari. Do yourself a favor and just buy one already. It's the only way you're going to be able to compare a high end PV like the ProVari to other PV's out there. Once you own your new ProVari then buy whatever else you think you might like and do a comparison. After you do this comparison and decide to keep your ProVari you could always sell the other PV in the classified section of the ECF.

Be smart about it and own a ProVari! You won't regret it!

Edit to add;

The only discount that I've ever seen available is the one in the following link, which is good towards the purchase of your second ProVari.

well said......

another angle would be to do a search on the forums for Provari and find the negatives about it. I based my decision on that...and now i have 2 Provari's

Well - now I've done it!

Ordered the Provari, extension cap, two 18650 high drain batteries, 2 306 reg. attys, 5 mega 510 cartos from IKV, and a Pila Charger.

Just clicked really fast to ease the pain of money flying from account

SUPER excited !!!!! Can't wait to try it all out.

All I can do now is cross my fingers that the 510 ce3 clearomizers are awesome, and my vaping experience will be perfect!

Thanks for support everyone!!! <3

I felt the same pain, but you won't regret it. What kind did you get? Satin Silver, Black, Finger Print?

Satin Silver. Black was tempting, maybe next time. Dripping with the 306 should be fun, and I hope the IKV mega cartos work well at whatever voltage I want. I'm curious when I will receive my order, it says 1 week wait or less. I shall see!
