if you plan to be away from "civilization" for an extended length of time I would say to order twice what you think you will need. Attys/cartos are hit and miss. you could end up having a streak of bad luck. For planning purposes I consider the life of a carto to be approximately 20 -30 ml of juice or 3-5 days (I'm a heavy vaper). Attys I say one to two weeks, depending on"luck". Batteries... order enough to have two to three fully charged at any given time, counting the battery(ies) on the charger. Chargers, get two. As far as eliquid, I try to keep at least 300 ml of my go to vapes available at any given time.

These are just my personal thoughts on maintaining an adequate supply, other people will have their own stockage levels and recommendations, your mileage may vary :)

Well said your a 100% correct I like to keep a good stock myself being some what new I must say I had over looked a few things

Oh, forgot to mention that power is an issue. Since we run off solar and wind, it would be nice to charge less frequently.

Using your PV will consume power, that's a given. If you have sufficient power, and chargers available, you could in theory charge them all up during the bright part of the day (solar). You'll also need to account for the non-bright days (cloudy/overcast/rainy) when you won't have the solar supply to work with. May be several days before you'll have sufficient solar to use.

You might grab a couple of these: Ego Solar Charger

It's common for the ratings on things to be 'inflated', or overly optimistic. These claim a rating of a 0.88 W solar panel. My large 18650 batteries state 8 Wh capacity, (or around 2200mAh) so this charger should take a little over 9 hours of full sun to charge my battery. Assuming all 0.88 W are available is rather optimistic. I'd only count on 1/2 of that being available, at best, especially if you could expect a cloud to wander by and block some of the sun. These also have a 1500 mAh battery inside. A full day in the sun should be enough to charge that, if it was completely empty when you started, while your PVs charged from other available solar/wind source. Of that 1500 mAh, guess 1200 mAh would be available for your use--enough to charge one 1100 mAh battery per day, or maybe 2-650's. *and* you could charge this PCC during the daylight, and be able to charge your PV batteries at any time. Again, I am being pessimistic with the published numbers. If I'm too pessimistic, so what--at least you wouldn't be looking at dead batteries and no way to charge them. Use these you augment your normal charging method, and don't count on this alone.

Let me just start by saying I love this site and the folks here.

I first quit smoking back in the late 90s with Zyban. Lasted about three years. Got through 9/11 in DC, one block from the White House and a friend in one of the towers. Didn't smoke. Car accident. Didn't smole. Dad died. Didn't smoke. Bad break up with some idiot. Started smoking.

Now been almost 10 years of intermittent smoking. Months without, then night going through almost a pack. Lots of guilt.

One day a few weeks ago, got talking to a fellow in our neighborhood bar who was using an ecig. Started to get intrigued. Talked to sister. Turns out she is using ecigs. Started to research. Found this forum. Bought a starter kit.

Now believe that I can give up the cigs. Really and truly. Not just hiding. Flat out give them up.

These things are that effective.

Did I find the exact right ones the first time. No. But still trying. And feel so empowered. I have it in me - I now have the tools - to stop the nonsense.

Thanks to all posters for the inspiration and truly valuable information.

Very nice post, I'm touched by your experiences that made you smoke. I wish you the best of luck!

welcome and congrats on your time smoke free! just remember, its a process! Vape through the bad times (even if that juice is not "right" today.....continuing to vape through those craving WILL kick it!), celebrate your successes rather than focusing on any "failures", and ask questions! we are so fortunate to be surrounded by a ton of people willing to share their experiences, lift you up, and cheer you on throughout the process. Welcome and congrats on discovering vaping! Welcome to our "family"!
