How cool to get such support so quickly. Truly appreciated. I have to say this seems too good to be true. It is just so easy to quit with these things that I am already wanting to reach out to those trapped/stuck in their addiction. Have to be careful not to get too preachy.

I have found ECF to be one of the reasons I have been successful. Best support group there is.

Oh, one little tip that I don't see mentioned.
When I smoked, it was likely more about the habit of the hand to mouth motion rather then the nicotine. In particular, when I was driving.
Get in the car, light a cig. Drive down the highway, light a cig. Get some gas, buy some cigs.
When I started vaping, I started going to a different gas station. That one little change in habit helped remove the habit of buying the cigs.

Six days in an only 'slipped' once - I know, I know - it's about the cigs I didn't smoke right?

So I used Blu to get me off cigs and now am already feeling like I need to take it to the next level. Looking at ego or kgo. Also need to really stock up as I will be leaving for the islands soon - so for 7 months will not have be able to order supplies and don't want to get stuck without.

Would love to hear opinions on kgo vs ego and also recommendations on how much and what to bring as back ups - juice, extra batteries, etc.

Thanks in advance for any feedback or advice.

Personally I feel the ego is a great starter kit but is limited due to battery life. While many folks will recommend variable voltage solutions I have found that a 3.7 V apv is my "sweet spot". I tried high voltage vaping and was enamored with 7.4V for a very long tome. In the end I settled on a REO grand and LR atties/cartos. Of course each person is different. My advice to you is to try some different combos of voltage and resistance but not to go crazy on expensive APV's (mods) until you have had some experience and found what works for you.

I cannot speak to which is better as I've never used Kgo. Go ahead and get ego c twists, if you go with the ego line. You won't be sorry. Ooooh, 7 months without being able to order supplies. Yikes. You are going to want to have 3 or 4 of them, just in case one fails. They are fairly inexpensive right now at a lot of places. I've seen them at $18 to $25 each recently. Virgin Vapors has them at the low end of the price. Altsmokes is a great vendor with more color choices. You will want a couple of battery chargers, as those could go bad, as well. You pretty much cannot just use any old battery charger with these. Virgin Vapors happens to have them in stock, right now. For some reason they are out of stock a lot on those at many vendors sites. For the delivery system. You might want to get a couple of vivi Novas. Altsmokes has them at a great price as it comes with 3 heads (you will want 2.4 or 2.8 ohms to use with the Twist) You could also go with cartomizers. Virgin Vapors has a good bundle deal on packs of 15 and you get your choice of a bottle of their Organic juice of your choosing. They happen to make their juice in all VG which is good because you used Blu which is also all VG based ejuice. So, you don't know whether you can tolerate any PG. Some folks have a sensitivity to PG based ejuice. Since the twists are variable voltage, if you go with the cartomizers I mentioned, you will want to go with SR (standard resistance). You can refill cartomizers a few times. They are meant to be disposable and last about a week or so each, but some folks use them for 30 days or more and go through a process of cleaning them to reuse them. Hard to say how much juice you will need. How much do you vape now or how many cigs did you smoke regularly?

Thanks OldSoldier for the rock solid advice.

Given that we are due to set sail in just a few weeks, I am looking for accelerate the learning curve - if that is even possible. I'm having a hard time not only figuring out brand/model questions but also quantity questions. For most of the next 7 months we will either be in uninhabited areas or in remote areas with no access to vaping supplies.

I only wish I had stumbled across e-cigs (and this forum) earlier. Still, am very glad I did, seems to me the only reason one would have to continue smoking is not yet having been introduced to vaping.

Thanks Buggs5347. Regarding the 'how much' question, I haven't been a heavy smoker in a few years. I was occasional but lately have been around more smokers and my smoking was creeping up. Nights drinking I would buy a pack, smoke too much, wake up full of regret and throw the rest away. Now if I'm drinking, I vape and wake up with no regrets. Yay!

Have been looking at Virgin Vapers website - love that they are organic. Will check out your other suggestions.

I am using the twist with vv and just love it. But if I could not order for 7 mos I would prob look at several kgo's. I have used those much longer and they are tried and true. I would prob have both on hand in case of failure as well as several chargers. i would think the juice would be the hardest part and if you have a fave would be stocking up now.

if you plan to be away from "civilization" for an extended length of time I would say to order twice what you think you will need. Attys/cartos are hit and miss. you could end up having a streak of bad luck. For planning purposes I consider the life of a carto to be approximately 20 -30 ml of juice or 3-5 days (I'm a heavy vaper). Attys I say one to two weeks, depending on"luck". Batteries... order enough to have two to three fully charged at any given time, counting the battery(ies) on the charger. Chargers, get two. As far as eliquid, I try to keep at least 300 ml of my go to vapes available at any given time.

These are just my personal thoughts on maintaining an adequate supply, other people will have their own stockage levels and recommendations, your mileage may vary :)

COOL I've never seen an ego solar pcc! I just gave my twists to my mom. 2 1000mah twists did me good can't speak for thier longevity though. I found a 1000mah twist would last about 9-10hrs and thats plenty of time for the other to charge fully. But i'd take at least 3 or 4 to be sure in case one bites the dust. 2 chargers is a good idea as well. Instead of cartos/atties think about a rebuildable? Take a spool of wire and some wick and rebuild as you need? Dunno if that's an option for you but there is plenty of info on that kind of stuff around here this ; http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/315221-fyi-smoktech-making-genesis-style-atty-42.html ; seems to be a solid device and the thread contains ow to rebuild mod them to make em fit your need/style of vaping. Plus for what they are you can't beat the price. Just exploring options. To be safe though like soldier said take about 2x what you think you might need just to be on the safe side and leave the stinkies for the people that you haven't introduced to vaping yet =)
