Congrats on your smoke-free month.

I would like to tell you that "the first month is the hardest" and other such rot, but it wasn't...not for me, or my wife. We both smoked for more than 20 years, and both quit the day I bought our first vaping gear...that was almost 9 months ago.

The gear you're using is similar to my wife's first "good" rig (after a couple of evod style tanks with ego-twist style batteries failed on her). She's got a 20 watt iStick and a Nautilus Mini, and still uses it every day. Now, our home office looks like we've set up a very small vape shop...and I don't regret spending one dime of the money on this stuff, or one minute of the time involved in learning it all.

Hope you have similar success, going forward.
That's funny..... My home office also looks like a vape store now. :D

After a month of vaping, I am now predominantly using a Kanger Subox and Snow Wolf with a bunch of different tanks. A Reuleaux RX200 and another mod or two will be landing before the end of the year.

I have dozens of bottles of premium (and some not so premium) juices currently and just ordered a bunch of different DIY flavours, VG/PG and a big jug of nic.

Oh, also just started building on Kanger and Crown RBAs.

Go big or go home I guess.:w00t:

I don't regret any of the money or time I have spent on this "hobby" as I am no longer a smoker.

You got it! My home looks like a vape store now too. Next year I'm going to plow abt $3k+ in to it in the first six months if possible due to coming regulations.

Good plan where you live for juice anyways! That coming tax is mental.

I think based on my current consumption, I will buy some more nic (likely 2-3 litres @ 100mg) and be done with it. With that amount, I would be good for at least a decade if not two. If I have to cut down on my nic a bit and stop blowing thru juice at 30-70w and go back to 10-15w, I could deal with that.

Luckily Canada is quite a ways behind the U.S. in general (and definately nowhere near where Chicago is with the taxation mess), so I am not to concerned. YET.

I can't see myself stocking mods right now as the damned technology seems to literally advance daily. I would hate to be sitting on the equivalent of a bunch of 10w or 20w ISticks in a year or two and wishing I bought a bunch of 200w TC mod (or equivalent) for less $$$. I like buying new stuff anyways, so my drawer will likely be full of older mods/tanks in a year anyways.

My wife still smokes and I am trying hard not to be "that anti-smoking guy". She is slowly embracing vaping herself but it is a work in progress.

As time passes, you may start to find the smell of cig smoke and
the stench on her clothes repulsive. Diplomatically step the
pressure up by buying her some vape gear in her favorite colors
before you tell her she reeks and sh_t hits the fan.

It's brilliant when you make these landmarks, especially after a lifetime of smoking. Personally I never thought I could or would have been able to do without tobacco but like you found the switch to vaping pain and craving free...it really is marvellous to be free at last.

Well done you, thanks for posting and keep up the good work - spreading the word can only help others wanting to make the switch.

Wow! I can't believe I picked up a iStick 40TC, a Nautilus Mini and a few crappy local tobacco flavoured juices a month ago today! This is a huge and rarely seen milestone for me at 46 as I smoked for most of the last 30+ years.

I fired up the vape and threw out my smokes and haven't looked back. In fact, I have had absolutely no interest in smoking at all. My wife still smokes and I am trying hard not to be "that anti-smoking guy". She is slowly embracing vaping herself but it is a work in progress.

This site has helped considerably. Thank all of you.

Without ECF I would have lots more $$$ in my bank account currently, for sure, but would still be smoking. Even after buying a ton of juice, more than a few mods and many different tanks, they will pay for themselves in a few months of vaping and not smoking.

I feel amazing and smell even better!

Cheers...
Awesome! I smoked for 22years picked up the vape and never looked back! That first month was a huge milestone for me as well, getting closer and closer to a year for me, my wife still smokes and I'm also not trying to be that anti-smoking guy even if I really am lol... Won a decent starter mod and hope it's here by NewYearsEve, she wants to try vaping again but her old ego wasn't enough for her, she hates the look/feel of box mods so I'm hoping the ego one VT will do the trick..

Congrats!

That's a bit bigger than I went in my first month, for sure.

Every time my wife calls the new gear into question, I tell her that I don't care how much we spend on vaping, since we're not smoking, and will likely avoid many much larger long-term medical expenses as a result.

How much vaping gear can you buy for $70,000? That's how much my heart attack, which I and my cardiologist attribute to smoking, cost.

Intangible cost-savings. Tell her you're buying more years with her, not vaping gear. Worth a shot. ;)

That is exactly why I am totally comfortable with our purchases, and any that remain to be made. We won't come near spending $70K, and we'll hopefully have been off cigs for long enough to mitigate any damage we've already done to ourselves. She agrees with this approach, wholeheartedly. After all, who would open her jars, and kill the spiders around here, if I wasn't around?
