HEY!!!
I'M the one fishing for sympathy here, not that blasted barf-machine. ;-)
He's probably spent 90% of his time since this morning sleeping (and the remainimg 10 shedding on my side of the bed no doubt)

Seriously though. I'sure he's fine. Big orange lump of fury, fluffy that he is.

hee hee ... i'm sure he's fine. mine do it sometimes, too. just trying to give you a smile. hang in there. you can do it!

So far I'm maniging (barely). There is still some life left in my curent battery. Just hoping it will last me through enough of the day to make it home.
Today I pass the six week mark. Would hate to have to start over. But don't think Ive been this temted since i quit the stinkies.
don't do it. life is always going to give you little tests just like you are going through today. yesterday i found out my neighbors kid has bone cancer. he doesn't even smoke, and he's starting chemo today. if he can get through his day without ever having to pick up a cig, i think we all can learn something from him. stay strong don't smoke.

I hate it when that happens!

Some mornings are better than others. This is NOT one of them.

My day started at 04:40 as it usually does. The alarm wakes me up, I take a few seconds to relise that it's mine, and then I get up.
At 04:41 I stepped in cat-vomit. - Not a good start
04:50 I realize that I forgot to preload the coffeymacine last night. - Even worse
04:58 steping outside after a hasty semi-breakfast (without coffey) I come to the conclusion that the white stuff covering everything and still falling from the sky is snow. SNOW!? Its march 25 for cryin out loud we've had our 5-6 mounths of winter allready, give me a break.
05:45 make it to work just in time to get changed before punching in.
06:25 have my first disagreement (of the day)with my boss.
06:35 manage to splash a rather corosive substance known as sodium hydroxid over most of my left side.
06:47 get yelled at for wasting expensive chemicals.
07:10 after a much needed shower I realise that my fully charged backup battery is most likely still sitting on the counter back home. Because it sure aint in my bag.

In other words...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!!

Thanks for helping me through th day guys.

Awesome and congrats!!! Even though it was unpleasant, I bet you're proud of yourself for not smoking eh? Are you having that beer? :p

This was a totally fun read and a very good reminder that my bad morning was not so bad at all!! Thank you for the smile, though I'm sorry for the morning you had!! YIKES!

Mine started with my son and I, in our pj's, trying to rescue our 10 year old Lab (with a weak tendon in her back leg) who managed to get on the wrong side of the fence - she has always been our escape artist, but hasn't done this in a good 4 years. First came the heart attack when she didn't come running when I called them in, then trying to figure out how to get to her BEFORE she got into the brook. (the wet fall and winter made it possible for her to once again smoosh under the fence)..... here she is...

Then on to work where, when chatting with, and helping, an employee who is 57, he says during his story.... "I think I'm older than you...." um, I'm 43 and you are 57 and you THINK you are older than me??

But, it all balances out - and after not having a pv since Saturday and dealing with horrible disposables, my wonderful hubby is driving 40 minutes out of his way to pick me up a twist so I can be vaping again - and I also made it through with no cigs!! :D I'm glad your day ended better than it started!

Ah, sodium hydroxide. We just call it caustic. Sorry you got some on you, are you okay? Are you in water treatment by any chance?

I work as clean up crew in a paintfactory. Part of it is water treatment. but the Caustic/lye (have no idea how to spell that) is used in the actuall cleaning. for the treatment of our waste water we have sulphuric acid, Calcium powder and some other "goodies" that I can't even begin to translate.

and yes, I'm fine. I wear pretty deasent protective gear.

Good deal, glad you're okay. I work in drinking water treatment, we use caustic and citric acid to clean our micro filtration unit. We don't have wastewater plant at this project but I have gone to them to train management/admins. Wastewater is far more fascinating but...it smells like money, lol.

So glad to hear you've made it through without smoking! Onward, upward!

I soooo feel your pain, Jen. I found out our contractor is from a very small town that I have ties to, and we were talking about mutual acquaintances. He asked how old I am and I told him I am 37.

"Oh," he said. "I thought you were much older than that."

:2cool: <-----me, externally

Internally I was bawling and throwing a giant hissy fit. I look much older than 37?! /dead

Mannnnnn wait, so you got lye dumped on you and all your boss had to say was "Quit wasting chemicals!" You could have been in real danger there! Lye burns are no joke! They can be fatal or at the very least seriously deforming and debilitating (not to mention extremely painful, as I'm sure you've discovered.) What a ...... He shoulda been shakin in his boots when that happened. That's a comp case waiting to happen.

And lye is what he considers expensive? Who's he getting his lye from? lol
